Did the ROMANS discover America? Radical theory claims sword found on Oak Island...
Daily Mail (UK) ^ | Thursday, December 17, 2015 | Ellie Zolfagharifard

The researchers are basing their claims on a number of Roman discoveries in Oak Island...

As well as the stone, they found carved stones on Oak Island also 'possess a language from the ancient Levant' according to Pulitzer.

Other findings include a Roman legionnaire's whistle found on Oak Island in 1901, a Roman shield 'boss' and a small Roman head sculpture found in Mexico City in 1933.

Another clue, in his report, is the presence of an invasive species of plant which was once used by Romans...

'The ceremonial sword came out of that shipwreck,' he told The Boston Standard. 'It is one incredible Roman artefact.'

He bases this on studies of his the artefacts metallic properties which match those of other ancient Roman artefacts.

'It has the same arsenic and lead signature in it. We've been able to test this sword against another one like it and it matches,' he said.

Pulitzer's report also details a number of Mi'kmaq carved images by indigenous people drawn on cave walls in Nova Scotia.

Some of these images show what Pulitzer believes to be Roman legionnaires.

Carved stones on Oak Island also 'possess a language from the ancient Levant' according to Pulitzer.

Other findings include a Roman legionnaire's whistle found on Oak Island in 1901, a Roman shield 'boss' and a small Roman head sculpture found in Mexico City in 1933.

Gold Carthage coins have also been discovered on the mainland near Oak Island.

Another clue, in his report, is the presence of an invasive species of plant which was once used by Romans.

yeah I suppose you’re right-

What I’ve learned to do is record the shows and skip all the long drawn out junk and just go right to the mini reveals along the way- I’m not overly impatient, but after what? 3 years now, it’s getting just a wee bit old in myo pinion- but of course I’ll still watch-

I feel the same way, then I thought imagine how they feel hitting nothing but teasers and dead ends . . . and paying for it! I appreciate them going through the aggravation of putting it on as a show so we can participate in their search and exasperation.

Absolutely- I do appreciate their efforts- and the grueling camera work and direction, and doing takes over and over again non stop- it must be hell for them to have cameras on them all the time- all those shows like this- the gold shows, logging shows etc-

I do appreciate the efforts of the cast- it’s just the show is getting a little long in the tooth with the drawn out drama by the execs and narrator-

I’ll have to pull out my Gloria Farley book and see what script this is. It does not look like runes.

That's the weakest part of their argument imho, because there's no way to date when any such plants first started to grow on the island.

You are welcome!

There is a guy named Scott Woltor that “pushes” the theory of the hooked X. He has even written a book:

http://www.amazon.com/Hooked-Secret-History-North-America/dp/0878393129/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450443560&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=scott+walture+hooked+x

I am not ready to completely support the theory but I am watching for new evidence. In any case the history as taught in school needs to be overhauled. I firmly believe the Vikings were in NA centuries before Columbus - who never actually set foot in what is now the US/Canada.

Heh... Scott W, who used to have a show on History Channel, spent an episode purporting to search for a trace of Henry Sinclair's slightly precolumbian castle in eastern Canada, on some coast or island not all that far from Oak Island. That was one of his shark-jumpers.

Yeah, that one makes me cuss at the TV, every time -- "six have died, and legend says that a seventh must die before the treasure is found". Legend is a word that doesn't mean what they think it means.

Who knows? There have been clovis points found here in the U.S., suggesting that Europeans were here BEFORE what is now called “native Americans.”

Landing on an island when the whole place is terra incognita makes sense, easier to defend themselves on an island, easier to secure and keep it that way, less likely to be detected by casual passersby. The 'artifacts' described in the body of folklore about the so-called Money Pit haven't survived. This Pulitzer guy found a quincunx of stones, which is interesting, at least one of which had some kind of marks on it -- unknown script, pictographs, what it is is not clear.

Yes but why did every one (so to speak) go to the exact same island? That’s the part which is troublesome, to say the least.

No way, producers would never salt the island. Just look at Storage Wars. ...oh wait. ...never mind.
