Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Eleanor Berkebile
Private family services will be scheduled in Wichita, Kan., for Eleanor Belle Berkebile, of Castle Rock, who died Dec. 21 at the Castle Rock Care Center. She was 71.
Born June 28, 1932, in Wichita, she was the daughter of Ralph Waldo and Martha Mae (Stonehouse) Dunham. She retired from civil service as an executive secretary.
Mrs. Berkebile enjoyed jewelry, plants and smoking. She moved here six months ago from Washington state.
She is survived by her children Teresea M. Berkebile of Castle Rock, Ralph D. Berkebile and his wife, Jacque, of California and Lorrie A. Berkebile of Alaska; sister Virginia Goeldner and her husband, Cecil of Arkansas; a half-brother, Ralph Dunham; and two grandchildren, Aaron and Maureen.
Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home of Castle Rock made arrangements.

Thanks for that, first indications I had of Eleanor was in the article which was an interview with Virginia. The article mentioned that Eleanor died in 2002 was a resident of Germany. The only thing I notice is the discrepancy of birth dates for both Eleanor and Virginia at the bottom of your post. Eleanor was born in 1932 and Viriginia was born in 1935. I wonder how long Eleanor lived in WA state and where she worked? It is interesting that she was in WA state before moving back to KS.
Leo did what he could and he stood up for the truth of our Constitution. I admire the man, his care, his conviction, and his courage very much.
I took Leo's and Orly Taitz' blogs off the Investigating Obama, "Usurper" blogroll within the last couple days. There still appear to be potentials in the courts, eh?
You are quite welcome. I should have qualified the bottom by saying it came from an online family site, but it was late. It is one of the more reliable ones with the Dunhams, but there are errors in even the best researched trees.
I have more Dunham family history on my hard than I ever wanted to know, big yuk!
Leo is a good guy and like Orly he is very smart. He enters and wins chess and poker tournaments. He won a few big poker tourneys against hundreds of players. To be successful poker player requries real smart. He marches to his own drummer but he is passionate about protecting the Constitution.
The difference with Orly and she is not afraid of whomever is really in control of this country. She is willing to take them on a win - and I think she probably can do it.

The story sounds a bit fishy to me.
This on my post about previously asking if anyone, anyone at all could feel " a sneaking sympathy" for the now triumphant President. This does show how many a poster gets into a bit of a misunderstanding. No, my fault if you felt it was a flaming. Indeed not. For it is me that might get it from the main body here.
I have described myself as the resident "softie" on FR. It is a trait I guess. I hated 'em all, when I was visiting my native country, England and people stayed up late to hear President Nixon's final speech. One of the finest speeches ever made, from a man who could have been bitter and harmed his own well being permanently. (Remember Senator McCarthy's end). Richard Nixon outed by the now two pathetic and dreary men.
Anyway, up late today being retired and it was 6 degrees below the 32 degrees freezing mark, up in Great Lakes country. (Hallo Albert Gore). Excuse this long screed, but I have something in common with those who observe that the President has already shown signs of wear and tear. He has a kindly press though. Somehow, I hope for America's sake, he does not really screw up.

LOL I know what you mean about Dunham info on a hard drive, I have over 200 links in one separate folder and find more daily. I am to the point that I have to scan and remove spyware twice a week with all the searching I do.
I also understand what you mean about family trees with the wrong info on them. The info you posted about Marthamae Stonehouse is from the 1930 census isn’t it? In 1930 she was 19 and living at home and then someone not very well educated on the family list that her two daughters were born in 1920 and 1922 respectively. Someone didn’t perform due diligence before putting that info online.

Babysitting Barack Obama on Seattle’s Capitol Hill

A simple act of kindness confirms President Barack Obama’s residence as an infant in 1962 on Seattle’s Capitol Hill.
As we were researching the residence of the Capitol Hill apartment that Ann Dunham and her son Barack Obama had lived in 1961 to 1962 - a residence that certainly wasn’t Abraham Lincoln’s log cabin, but nonetheless historical - we were also able to find one of the former apartment residents, Mary Toutonghi, listed in a directory. Much to our delight, it turned out Mary actually knew Ann Dunham and had babysat baby Barack for two months, giving insight on his first year and what it must have been like for Ann Dunham as a single parent.
Mary Toutonghi, who now lives in Soldatna, Alaska, recalls Barack as “a really alert baby, very happy and a good size.” She does not remember him ever crying (although she adds she is sure he likely did but does not remember any undue fussing). She recalls as best she can the dates she babysat Barack as her daughter was 18 months old and was born in July of 1959 and that would have placed the months of babysitting Barack in January and February of 1962.
During our first interview, Mary referred to Stanley Ann Dunham as “Anna,” not knowing that it was the same name as what was listed in the Seattle City Directory. This verified for us that indeed Mary had known Ann Dunham. Anna was obviously confident enough with Mary to have her babysit her son Barack and confide in her about her future plans.
Mary strains to remember the days back over 45 years ago and relates that she did not know why Anna was in Seattle but remembers she was “anxious to get back to her husband.”
“She told me they would be going to Kenya when she finished her education which she had promised her parents when she had married, but because her husband had an obligation to his tribe she realized he would have to take another wife that was a full-blooded Kenyan.” Mary commented that, “I don’t think I could have been that brave.”
Mary explained most of the people in the apartment house were seniors and were retired so it was most likely she was the only one in the house able to babysit Barack. Mary was a stay-at-home mother while her husband was taking classes at the nearby Seattle University. She lived directly below Anna and Barack in the level she calls the basement. She remembers the windows in their basement apartment being at chin level and she had a great view of the yard and trees. One day, she recalled with laughter, a squirrel had fallen through the one of the ground-level windows and after quickly scampering up its tree scolded the family for a good hour.
Mary goes on to relate how the apartment Anna and Barack lived in was on the first main floor and the windows looked out over the street. Anna and baby Barack’s apartment in the photo from the Washington State Archives were the three paned windows on the far right corner of the building above the garage.
The main floor had been divided into four studio apartments about 500 square feet each - indeed, a tiny apartment compared to the White House.
The first house of Barack Obama no longer exists, having been torn down in 1985. An apartment complex now is on the block along with twin residential towers, “Capitol Park,” owned by Seattle Housing Authority.
Mary also laughed when asked for pictures, explaining “We were in survival mode and not taking pictures.”
Mary remembers Anna as a “very mature” woman “who never complained and met her obligations.” Anna was taking night classes at the University of Washington and according to the University of Washington’s registrar’s office her major was listed as history. She was enrolled at the University of Washington in the fall of 1961, took a full course load in the spring of 1962 and had her transcript transferred to the University of Hawaii in the fall of 1962.
Along with the Seattle Polk Directory, Marc Leavipp of the University of Washington Registrar’s office confirms the address Ann Dunham gave upon registering at the University.
Today, when one looks back to the small apartment in 1962 in which a kind neighbor helped care for our nation’s leader and a struggling mother strived to get an education, its inspiring to know that even small gestures in the most difficult of situations can help a baby rise from humble beginnings to achieve greatness.
Ann Dunham later received a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Hawaii.
Mary Toutonghi now lives in Soldatna, Alaska, and was 2001 president of the Alaska Speech-Language-Hearing Association. And one little baby grew up to achieve the audacity of hope.

Thanks for the link to the map! If my aunt weren’t so liberal I would ask her for information about the area and her experiences at UW in the late 50’s and early 60’s.
The article did mention Ann used the address at Capitol Hill when she registered at UW in 1961, so she must not have stayed with her mother’s friend for long unless her mother’s friend also lived at that apartment.
