Medina responds to Glenn Beck questions
TheCypressTimes.com ^ | 02/11/2010 | Debra Medina

Posted on 02/11/2010 10:52:12 AM PST by Patriot1259

I was asked a question on the Glenn Beck show today regarding my thoughts on the so-called 9/11 truth movement. I have never been involved with the 9-11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way....

“I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way.”

Uh oh, this probably means that Alex Jones has now lost her support...She was a regular on his program and he was a huge supporter.

I believe her now. I just think she wasn’t smart enough or quick enough to figure out the answer to a simple question on Beck’s show.

I don't. She answered honest and didn't expect this backlash. The truther stuff is why she was asked to the show. She had plenty of time to prepare.

Medina cannot handle tough questioning which is why she hums and haws....I am so glad she’s being called out! Thank you Glen Beck!! Now let’s see some more of that she has hidden.

One could argue that the government was complicit by dereliction of duty. Its failure to fully prosecute a war against an organization that had already declared war on us lead to our vulnerability, and gave AQ a strong hand to play, which they did to full effect on September 11th.

Does that mean the government was active in planning, financing, and execution of that attack, of course not.

And all of the hokum justifications presented by the truthers could have been brought about by other methods, or even the simple fact that larger nations are always taking potshots at weedy ones. There wasn't really a need to murder 3,500 citizens to either invade Iraq or invade Afghanistan.

It is not unheard of. For example, it is widely known that our government committed mass sterilizations of people deemed “unfit” to reproduce. They also deliberately gave pregnant women radioactive iron tablets to see what would happen. However, to think they had something to do with 911 is preposterous.

Sorry, chief ... no do-overs. It was a simple question with a simple answer — “no”. Any sensible person would’ve said “no”, and moved on.

The fact that you didn’t say “no” means you likely lend credence to “truther” movement, and, even if you don’t, the fact that you weren’t bright enough to say “no” means you’re not bright enough for my vote.

Rick Perry will be getting my support — Debra Medina will receive no further consideration, and nothing she can say will change my mind.

If your argument is that the government could have done things to prevent it, that’s not “truther”, that’s just the truth.......

Yes, this is what I’m saying.....obviously this is a sore subject here on FR and I will say no more.

...have seen some very credible evidence that our government was complicit in the 9/11 attacks.

So bring it. Educate us.

We're all patiently waiting.

TIA.

Sore in the sense that truthers believe Bush or people in his administration allowed or even planned 9/11 so he could go to war in Iraq, or pass the patriot act to destroy our liberty, or to get republicans elected.

The evidence has been presented, and it’s a joke. That 25% of the people believe it just shows that 25% of the people are stupid, and it doesn’t matter what group you are polling, or what you are asking, you’ll find a significant minority will answer stupidly.

So believing that our government could have had a part in the 9/11 attacks makes a person a nut and not a viable Tea Party candidate?

Yes. If the Tea Party movement wants to stand on its original intent, there really is no need for the Ron Paul Cult to infest it and turn it into some weird Libertoon, Truther, anti-war movement.

That would significantly change the original intent of the Tea Party movement. And we already have a Ron Paul Cult Libertoon-Truther-Anti-War movement, anyway.

Why can’t there be humane dialogue on this site? It seems like when people disagree on here, the suspicion mounts and the tarring and feathering begins.

I saw no tar and feathers on this thread...You should be able to defend your position on a thread you posted. You can not expect everyone to agree with your belief.

I asked for the "credible evidence" you have, now you have abandoned your thread after accusing others of not having a humane dialogue.

You can believe anything you want, but for me to believe our Gov. had a hand in killing 3000 of our countrymen and women on 911 I must see credible evidence, I do mean credible beyond a doubt. You have given us nothing accept what you want to believe.

Perry certainly hasn't been perfect, but I also don't feel he's done anything that would merit summary firing. (He won me over with this press release, his respect for the right to self-defense, and his availability to his constituents. He has my vote.

I’m not as down on Perry as some around here are. I don’t agree with everything (but, when do I?), but I think he’s done a reasonably good job. There is a reason Texas has weathered the storm so well ... and Perry is PART of that reason.

It could be worse — we could be ANY OTHER STATE.

THIS is what you said in an earlier post and not anything about the government preventing the attack. You are now changing what you said...just go away.

There was a tent city on the mall in DC of veterans of WWI protesting for benefits, the president at that time ordered tanks driven through the tent city and destroyed.
