From the day that Sarah Palin endorsed Carly Fiorina she’s gotten a lot of criticism from the right that she picked the more ‘moderate’ republican candidate in the California Senate race to beat Barbara Boxer. Today however Rick Santorum decided to step into her corner and defend her pick.

Would that be the same Rick Santorum who endorsed Arlen Specter over Pat Toomey? Why yes, I believe it is.

Thanks but no thanks. Palin doesn't need your help.

A pretty solid conservative with no record except of course supporting things like an Internet tax and saying the imigration debate has a “racist tone”. He’ll she has spent thousands of dollars on ads and is having trouble keeping up with DeVore who was beginning to pick up ground before Prolife orgs, Palin, and now Sanatorum started the drum beat for the Demon sheep laughingstock that Carly is.

Not much of an argument.

DeMint endorsed Romney in 2008. RINO!

Rubio is brown nosing Romney. RINO!

Cheney went for Hutchison. RINO!

Even Rush would be a RINO!!

Who do you back?!

Rick is out of power because of this kind of poor judgement and self delusion. So...who cares what the Rino says about the other Rinos in the pack.

DeVore has never made anything of his opportunity, unfortunately. He’s had a fair shake.

All he is doing now is attacking. He’s a spoiler.

No doubt. And Toomey gained the lead knocking Specter out.

If you think everybody else is a RINO, it's more likely you are not a Republican.

The arguement wasn't that Rick Santorum is a "RINO" (obviously he's not, he had a 90% conservative voting record). The arguement was that Rick Santorum himself has shown bad judgment in endorsing "good Republicans" who turned out to be socialist scum, so he's in NO position to be weighing in on whether other conservatives are endorsing decent candidates.

And comparing Santorum's support of DIABLO Arlen Specter to Cheney and others backing squishy conservatives like Hutchinson is a real sketch. By the way, Rubio supported Huckabee, not Romney.

Ahh, you are right. I should have said these people are both RINOs (the usual slur by others), and said because of their record they have no judgement and should no longer endorse anyone. How’s that?

All rinos this and all rinos that...you support any Rino agenda just cause they have an R after their name or have some connection to Palin? How is this stupidity working for freedom and ethics?

Get out of the tunnel vision so we can shape the GOP to be conservative which requires a standard of thought and behavior for politicans conservatives are going to support. This is not the time to go along to get along - you do that when conservatives hold the majority in the party. We don’t. For that to happen, you must be willing to pick conservatives and reject Rinos and not just do as you are told.

I know you are angry at me for rejecting Palin’s recommendation of Carly in California. There is no reason for you to react like a mindless party ape. Do you find yourself hating uppity conservatives as much has Mr. McLame hates conservatives? I don’t care what you think of conservatives.

>> Sanatorum started the drum beat for the Demon sheep laughingstock that Carly is. <<

Carly Fiorina is pretty much the California equivalent of Steve Sauerberg. She's an unknown plucked from obscurity and anointed by the GOP establishment to be the U.S. Senate nominee, something they will spend zillions to accomplish in the primary. While she's not a socialist RINO scum like Mark Kirk or Tom Campbell, she's no conservative either, and is intentionally vague about what she'll do in office, trying to please all sides. In both cases, some sellout organizations endorse the establishment choice anyway because they're polling highest in the primary. Just as Sauerberg's entire campaign pitch was "I'm not Dick Durbin", hers is "I'm not Barbara Boxer". Both express a willingness to roll over for the Dems and confirm far-left judges. Just as Sauerberg had some inexcusible poor judgement calls like appointing the spokesman of Log Cabin Republicans to be his campaign spokesman, so does Carly Fiorina in supporting people like Jesse Jackson.

I would have voted for Sauerberg if he stood a prayer of 'beating Dick Durbin', but it was clear from Day 1 (from anyone with an IQ over 3 following Illinois politics) that his candidacy was DOA. Establishment-backed sacrificial lambs do not deserve our support, to do otherwise just emboldens the state party to run even worse RINOs down the road (as proven now that they shoved Mark Kirk down our throat this election cycle)

Fiorina will probably fare better than Sauerberg in the general election and thus deserve our support if she is the nominee and has a chance of unseating Boxer. We'll see.

Listen, this is CA. Carly might win here against the boxter, but hopes for another Reagan coming out of this state are nil. Peopl on this site need to keep some perspective.
