Tell them you're listening. You can tell us, too, at a special email address we have created: DittosRush@RushLimbaugh.com. Write us and we'll publish a sampling of the e-mails we receive. New! Send an e-mail to EIB advertisers right here.

"He was trying to stir up GOP infighting too much - lambasting Bush for not being conservative enough"
Rush DEFENDED Bush for MONTHS during the height of the media smears against Bush and his war against Iraq - why do you think Bush came out and defended Rush and called him "A Great American" after the Enquirer story broke???
"pumping up that idiot McClintock in CA."
Rush Pumping up Conservative Politicians is what helped the GOP Get the Congress in 94 (assuming you are really a Conservative - which is a big question right now)
"I think the show was getting ready for a slide anyhow."
No way - not while we're just entering the most important presidential election since 1984.
If Rush was on the decline, why do you think the media is so quick to trash him?

There is NO way that Rush has been losing audience share. The latest rating books were incredibly strong for Rush in all markets.
He is not losing anything now while away but I think that the staff has been overwhelmed with requests on how individuals can help Rush now. So, they have suggested that you contact advertisers and local stations to let them know you are supporting Rush and not leaving over this month.
These guest hosts are difficult for me to listen to....they are not Rush....it makes me appreciate how incredible Rush is at his job. He makes it look easy...but as you can tell from his subs, he is the BEST!
And he will be even better when he comes back!!!

Rush DEFENDED Bush for MONTHS during the height of the media smears against Bush and his war against Iraq.... ...and still managed to stick and twist a knife over and over on contrarian griping on domestic economic, budget, immigration and race policies. Don't pretend it didn't happen, because I heard him say it.
...why do you think Bush came out and defended Rush and called him "A Great American" after the Enquirer story broke???
Because Bush is a classy guy who has been through the crap himself, and who is very aware that he doesn't want to be perceived as kicking someone when he is down.
Rush Pumping up Conservative Politicians is what helped the GOP Get the Congress in 94...
Rush didn't pump up whackjob spoilers in '94.
...assuming you are really a Conservative - which is a big question right now.
Color me pragmatic right of center.
No way - not while we're just entering the most important presidential election since 1984.
Communications changed vastly with the advent of the internet. He is less necessary than you think.
If Rush was on the decline, why do you think the media is so quick to trash him?
Hello! They're the media, thats what they do. It would have got even wider play were it Britney Spears.

You mean, you don't believe Chancellor Palpatine, when he says that "Rush has been bashing Bush nonstop".
Gee, then why did Bush come to Rush's defence after the story in the Enquirer broke?
And who helped bring the dirt FR uncovered about Joe Wilson to the public's attention? Rush DID!

Those are legitimate complaints that MILLIONS of Conservatives are concerned about.
Where is it written that everything Bush does must be praised by Conservative Talk Show Hosts?
But Rush STILL defended Bush at every turn during the media smear campaign of the last few months, and was instrumental in outing Joe Wilson as a fraud.

Rush has remained very true to his belief that we need less government.
Bush on the other hand, does not seem to share that conservative view.
Rush has called Bush on it. But remains steadfast in supporting Bush on the war and personally.
It is proof that Rush does not get his show notes from the White House or the RNC. He is his own man. He comes to his own conclusions based on his firming held conservative beliefs and principles.

Fewer Rush listeners follow Rush's domestic program gripes than you think. Its just that you contrarians are louder about it.

Thanks, Meek!
I heard the address earlier on Rush's show, but I didn't get a chance to write it down.

People asked Rush to help Terri Schindler, and I don't think he mentioned her case. If he did, I missed that part. Now Rush is in need himself, but not on the level of this poor soul, a Medicaid recipient with a wealthy "husband." That's fraud right there.

Was that before or after he "he's just as soon the Democrats win" so that once and for we, the GOP, would learn a lesson?

Unchristian maybe, but really effective, and is sopping up audience share faster than a nice spongy biscuit sops up redeye gravy (sorry for the imagery, I need to go to lunch now, and I'm hungry).Yeah, well, I think I'll wait for the Arbitrends on this one. What market are you in?
And I'm especially doubtful that a lack of Rush at noon is going to jack up the ratings of other shows outside his time slot. People aren't going to rearrange their day-to-day lives to get a certain percentage of conservative talk radio into their lives. If what they want to hear isn't on at noon, they're not going to listen to other people from 9 pm to midnight.

There may just be more "contrarians" than you think. I like Bush, but I would like him a whole lot more if he would stop spending our money so fast.

Written and emailed last week. My station, the great KMOX, has done little to support Rush.
