This thread serves as a place for posting all new general information and references, along with links following Terri's case, plus information on cable news and talk radio shows dealing with the issue, court cases and press releases. This is also the place to post contact information, prayers and general discussion.

FL_Engineer suggested that if you have something that qualifies as BREAKING NEWS or FRONT PAGE NEWS, please post it on a separate thread in that category in order to give it maximum exposure and then post a link to the article/thread here so that it will be included in the next update of links. Also, if you post links to articles from original sources and there is also a thread on FR, please link to the FR thread. Many original links become corrupt over time and we want to be able to access the information at will.

So, why is Schiavo's previous starvation of his parents never discussed? The Schindlers never mention this in their brief TV appearances. I wonder how much insurance Schiavo collected from the parents.

I tried to stay out of the Schindlers way, when I was at the vigil.I wanted to show my support for Terri, but I did not want to intrude upon her family.

I know how much time you spent there, and I am willing to spend some time there this weekend, if it truly helps them continue to cope with this nightmare.

I want to help, but I dont want to be another burden the family is forced to assess and deal with, since I am but a friendly stranger, who wishes them well, and supports them.

And, what if the insurance company WAS PAYING Jodi's mom to guard Terri in her room while they were starving her last week? Or even paying Jodi herself?

Did you know that Terri's keepers were putting heavy blankets on Terri up to her head. She started running a temp early on and then having not had a drop of water for six days was taking its toll by the Monday before last. She was shutting down. That was the only thing Felos told the truth about. Yes, her kidneys were shutting down. "How dare Jeb Bush drag her from her death bed? The death process must begin again." The compassionate words of George Felos in a lengthy press conference last week. Maybe there's a transcript on baynews9.com.

FELOS HAS HIS OWN VOLUNTEERS. How fun must being evil for free be?

From here on out, I'm having a sign that says "Terri's Angels". I can't do 24/7s but we caught a press conference the other day we were unaware of until we got there. That's when I've learned the most about Terri.

But, back at the tv studios and radio stations, there's a whole lot of snipping going on. The media is trying to be fair and balanced with good vs. evil. Go figure.

Well, even though Wolfson is the GAL now, the silver lining is that Demers didn't grant MS's request to delay the GAL appointment until the constitutional issues get wrangled out, which could take who knows how long. All the GAL can do is probe and advise to both the court and Jeb. He can't order squat.

His mom was AGAINST Terri being starved-dehydrated to death. I wonder if she was starved-dehydrated herself but she had a terminal illness so maybe she just quit eating naturally towards the end.

Maybe "Clara, she" did hold food and H2O in low regard,can't say. But from the many folks I have cared for during their last breaths including my Mom, they always asked for something to be put in their mouths if they were able to.

Just because someone can't ask for it, I will never agree that they don't desire it. And those that couldn't ask, well I always assumed they wanted it and never had a problem with them receiving those offerings.

Great job Floriduh voter down there in Tampa Bay! If we can make the trip down from LA I will give you a heads up.

Wolfson the Guardian Ad Litium (sp?) is not even an M.D. a Medical Doctor
M.P.H is Masters Degree in Public Health, the "administration" of health
His P.h.D is again aobut healthcare Organizations, and then he is a Lawyer.

This is the guy who is going to determin if Terri can be re-habilitated? This is a guy who makes his living by being published. in acedemia it is publish or perish. My father is an M.P.H [side joke. I was a little kid when my dad got his M.P.H. from Berkley, and everytime we would see a speed limit sigh=n 35MPH we would shout out Masters of Public Health!!] My dad recently ws awarded the equivenent of the "Lifetime Achievment Award" from the American Public Health Association, I'm sure you have all heard of it. My dad was President of the APHA etc. So you can imagine my surproise when I looked at Wolfson's credentials and I'm sitting here realizing that his credentials on the face of it are not at all suited to the Gaurdian Ad Litim (again sp) responsibilites. I don't know about you but I jsut assumed he was an M.D.

I am with others who strongly feel that the money is the key. It was what brought down Nixon. Ben Bradley said "follow the money" and that is what I think we should be doing. I doubt if Wolfson has a money connection, but those other doctors and the Judges.

Oh another thing, why did the judge pick Wolfson? My dad was again a Nationally recognized consultant after he retired, actually he did a LOT of work in Florida, and he got his jobs by referral. Judges don't spend a lot of time to research and find the "best" candidates as the "exerts". They makse a few phone calls and it is who you know. Somehow there is a connection between the Judge who selected Wolfson and the Judge.

Sorry to brag so much about my dad but when I saw the M.P.H. I thought my personal background would have value. I'm going to work on Jay and I hope others follow. If we can find bias we need to dig theat up and sent it to Terri's lawyer. This could be used in an appeal. The guy isn't even an M.D. for crying out loud.

This alone ought to be enough reason to disqualify him for sitting on cases where marital matters do or could have an impact. Michael cheating on Terri? NO PROBLEMO!

They brought Terri's brain scans to that press conference which were quite different than the one scan held up by Felos on Larry King Live the other night.

It seemed that anytime I would entertain thoughts of ending the relationship (which was often), he would hit me with such remarks about how I was so fat that nobody else would have me. At the time I weighed 99 pounds (I am 5'1"). I sometimes had to buy pants in the children's department...and yet, he had a real talent for getting me so down on myself that it took the attention off getting away from him, at least temporarily. One thing I can say is that any female who has ever made the mistake of getting involved with such a man and gotten out, can spot the type a mile away. Michael Schiavo is the type!

Speech pathologists work with feeding issues as well as speech. Not unusual.
Either is the findings of that result. Everyone in the Felos camp has Terri dead and incapable of anything.

For example, WHY did the St. Pete paper repeatly use the word "coma" to describe a woman who looked like THIS? (1990, St. Pete Times):

I too tend to think that the time for any faith in our current government has passed and that Terri's death if it happens may just be the Dread Scott descision that brings about CWII.

10/31/2003, All Hallows' Eve, Evening Prayer Vigils Resume

As you know, Mr. Schindler profoundly believes that as a result of your prayers, Terri is still with us today. Currently, legal proceedings have begun for Mr. and Mrs. Schindlers' fight for guardianship of Terri. In addition, the Schindlers are fighting Attorney George Felos' attempt to challenge the constitutionality of Terri's Law. The American Center for Law and Justice is joining the Schindler family and their local attorney in this regard and wish to uphold Terri's Law. We are very encouraged by this!

Many calls have been received by the public asking, "What is going on now?" and "What can we do?" Prayer is the most powerful weapon we have in the battle for Terri's life. Please continue to pray, and if you are able, visit the site of the vigil once again. Many of us are peacefully lighting candles at dusk Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings each week to pray for both Terri's healing and for her protection. This prayer has given this fight for Terri's life the momentum it gravely needed. We are asking for your perpetual support. Please tell all your friends, church members, prayer groups, sports teams, class mates, and families that we need your help. Terri cannot speak for herself yet and it seems that the siege is just beginning after thirteen long years.

The location of the hospice vigils is 6774 102nd Avenue North, Pinellas Park, Florida.

Mr. and Mrs. Schindler will be on Larry King next Thursday. We don't believe the official release has been given on this, but stay tuned for further updates. This is the best information we have at this point.
