| After decades of trying to fight social problems with ever more tolerance, the Dutch are at a loss before terrorism. Queen Beatrix limited her involvement to visiting immigrant kids at a Moroccan "youth center." This was hardly what public opinion was clamoring for. At this point, the Dutch seem more inclined to move from Live and Let Live to its opposite, and are calling for laws that make the Patriot Act look like Kumbayah. |

This is a tremendous, valuable resource; - a page to be kept by all means. One can't help but remember Michael Moron's moronic pronouncement, "There IS NO TERROR THREAT." He was so enamored of his own words, that he repeated the phrase at the press conference where he was photographed and recorded making the statement.
My son-in-law is Dutch; born and raised in Amsterdam. He has been a U.S. resident for the past 17 years, but he goes back to Holland at least twice every year. He says, "Holland is finished." He told me that the Muslims have infiltrated all of Dutch society to such a degree that "real" Dutch people (men or women) are no longer welcome as police dept. recruits. Or, in other words, "Only Muslims need apply."
My son-in-law has 2 brothers who run a good restaurant in Amsterdam. They have been robbed 3 times by Muslim hoodlums who also make a practice of robbing the elderly on the days when their Social Security checks arrive. The police, if they respond at all to "911" calls from beseiged citizens, are either Muslim and therefore not interested in interrupting the criminal activities of their confrères, or, if they are Dutch police, they are too intimidated to intervene.
Hearing this, I know why my son-in-law says that "Holland is finished." Next comes Belgium,Denmark,Sweden,Norway,Germany,France,Spain......and then Britain. Churchill said it best when he chastised the Nazi appeasers of his day, "Appeasers always hope that the crocodile will eat them last," he said. The croc is well on its way toward swallowing up all of "old Europe."
When they are on their last gasp, will then then cry "Uncle?".....and will we go spill American blood again, for the 3rd time in less than 100 years, on behalf of a stupid, ungrateful "old Europe?"

...is probably correct, more's the pity. I come from a long line of sailors, and am about 1/3rd Dutch- my family stayed there long enough to intermarry on the way to Cape Hatteras.

Part of the problem, even in the States, is that we're not allowed to hate our enemies. It's been forty years of moral equivalence, and we've become neutered, to use a diplomatic word. Do you remember the vile images of the Hun and the "Jap," circa 1941? Do you see this sort of propaganda, and the word is not always bad, in reference to the Hitlers in dirty pajamas?

I suspect these more liberal countries will be the first to fall. After Holland, Sweden and France go Muslim, pressure will build on Great Britain. Those European fools who hate America will be late to realize the trap they set for themselves.

Clash of Civilizations (Holland) Van Gogh's murder should wake up the whole world. It was just as much of a threat to freedom of expression as the fatwa against Salman Rushdie. I put it on a level with our 9/11 because they singled out one artist. If only I the video recorder had already been invented (and available) when I was
a very young child.
I'd have a big collection of the WWII era Warner Brothers Cartoons
with the irreverent GI version of Bugs Bunny beating the crap out of Hitler,
Mussolini and a stereotyped Tojo.
I'm sure those are under lock-n-key and armed guard at the Warner Brothers archive.
It's a real p-sser to think that these gems that gave some GIs some needed laughs
while liberating civilization are now treated as propaganda more
scandalous that Leni Refienstahl (sp?) work for her best-bud Adolph.
(By the way, the cinema school at UCLA are now having a restrospective of Leni's work...
but I won't hold my breath thinking they'd ever screen the classic WWII cartoons.)
(And the Speedy Gonzalez cartoons that Warner Brothers won't distribute in the USA,
but are still shown in South America, IIRC).

I wouldn't say so. Read what the tolerant dutch did to the calvinists, when they got tired of being tolerant. Those who are at extremes are apt to swing hard and wide. Today's tolerant dutch have the potential of turning very savage. Remember, muslims are 1/16th their population.
