Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Maybe President of an abortion, er, uh, I mean "Planned Parenthood" clinic.

This thread will never die! Actually, this thread is sure separating the wheat from the chaff, so far as who is really a Conservative and who isn't.

This is a great thread because the RudyTooters and stealth liberal trolls like KATIE-O are exposed for what they are. Her post at #3110 was the result of her head exploding from the demise of her fellow R-bots 'Peach' and 'FairOpinion', but she can't bring herself to just leave, she wants to be nuked so she has something to brag about.

It's time to purify the water once again Jim, give my regards to lil Katie as you show her the door.

So you think that 1/3rd of Republicans are more liberal than Giuliani? That’s the only way he can make it into the center “moderate” third.

I used to read MiaT anti-Clinton rants too--until she started supporting the liberal, laywer from NY (the male one)--who also happens to be the biggest CLINTON DEFENDER AND most vocal CLINTON APOLOGIST.

That hypocrisy was a little too much for me.

Look wise guy, my Christianity has nothing to do with how I deal with RudyBots like Katie-O, and I don’t answer to you, I answer to God, so put a sock in it, and don’t let the cat cover you up when you head back to your sandbox.

I am a RINO!

Actually, I'd call you a Republican. RINOs are Conservatives (such as the ones who frequent FR) that vote R when faced with the prospect of electing someone like Hillary!

The reason the Republican party is NOT the Conservative party, nor holds many conservative ideals, is that approximately 50% of registered Republicans are female.

When it comes to women, no matter how pro-life they are in philosophy, when push comes to shove, they are all pro-choice. I've seen high-level women in the Calif R party basically say that if the party moves any more rightward, they'll vote D.

It's no surprise some of the biggest Rudy supporters at FR (alive & banned) are women. The basic reality is that women are preventing the R party from moving anymore rightward.

Until Conservatives recognize that fact, they will either have to vote 3rd party, or once again become RINOs as they vote for whoever the GOP puts on the ticket.

I know. Thanks for your response gpapa. I wanted to see if his response was honest.

"On issues, he addresses head-on the major complaints conservatives have about his record. He was largely stymied in his 1997 investigation of both Clinton-Gore and GOP campaign fund-raising abuses: Key witnesses declined to testify or fled the country, though evidence eventually surfaced of a Chinese plan to influence U.S. politics. He won’t argue with those who say he showed “naiveté” about how he would be stonewalled in his investigation. He says he’s wiser now.

Many on the right remain angry he supported the campaign finance law sponsored by his friend John McCain. “There are problems with people giving politicians large sums of money and then asking them to pass legislation,” Mr. Thompson says. Still, he notes he proposed the amendment to raise the $1,000 per person “hard money” federal contribution limit.

Conceding that McCain-Feingold hasn’t worked as intended, and is being riddled with new loopholes, he throws his hands open in exasperation. “I’m not prepared to go there yet, but I wonder if we shouldn’t just take off the limits and have full disclosure with harsh penalties for not reporting everything on the Internet immediately.”"

You mean other than he is both evil and stupid?

See, this is exactly what discourages the best and brightest in the country from serving in public office. Who the heck wants to be called stuff like this.

I was considering a run for a NJ Assembly seat. I had all of the paperwork and 100 signatures done. Then I thought of two things:

1. The Democratic People's Republic of New Jersey is a liberal, Socialist sinkhole and nothing I can do will save it.

2. My God given talents are better served as a political satirist on this and other sites lambasting politicians' stupidity.

Amen, Luke21!!

Sneering at “social conservatives” is simply a mistake, and I truly wonder at the infiltration of the Republican Party and this site by the liberals who do the sneering.

I was taught that to love Jesus is to love one another and to be tolerant of each other and to try to understand another's view point without being judgmental.

Odd, I was taught to take it to the source and those that made it up as they went were to be criticized... lets take to the souce on that "judge not" junk you spout.

Christians ARE to judge, and judge Rightly

BTW... when you spank your children, do you do it just to judge them, or because you love them? Correction of wrong is not only helpful, it is a job requirement of Christians because you love your fellow man.

imagined moral superiority

That's explains the 'principled' - name calling of others who you don't agree with, posting to freepers and about freepers who were banned and cannot defend themselves and then telling others they aren't conservative, embellishing statements for their own agenda; baiting posters to get banned, gleeful when some do. Truly a hateful crowd with "imagined moral superiority".

If you are so interested in Godly principles from a president, check yourself out first. For the log is greater than the splinter.

God works in mysterious ways and may use this election to chastises those that stand behind 'moral superiority' and show them - they are NOT. Pride, in any fashion, comes before the fall.

“However I don not plan to engage in any “swiftboating” of any of our potential candidates as that would be breaking an oath I swore to and I urge others to think twice before they provide potentially very useful info to the Democratic Party should certain candidates they try and “swiftboat” become actual nominees”

Rodguy911, I have a lot of respect for you but why are you attacking the Swift boat vets? Why are you adopting the language of the left?

Don’t you understand what the left is trying to do? They are trying to make the Swift Boat Vets into Joe McCarthy. An synonym for an unfair and unfair attack. Which is a lie. The Swift Boat vets told the truth. The Swift Boats Vets SAVED US from John Kerry by telling the truth.

And I’m sorry, but Reagan ran against Ford and broke the 11th commandment. He tried to keep it on a high plane, but Ford, slimed Reagan every chance he got.
