I think there are some that are saying Deliver us O’God and some that are saying Deliver us Obama.

I've listened to this thing 6 times now, the last time with eyes shut not watching, just listening.

You're right, that's what I hear too - some may be saying 'O God' but clearly others are using three syllables and are indeed saying 'Obama'.

At one point listen carefully a woman shouts out over the rest and its 'O-BA-Ma' with the 'BA' jumping out at you over the din.

Wow — well, if he WERE a “god,” he’d have to be the most inept, boneheaded, bumbing god in the history of gods. Last I checked, even in Roman mythology, their gods actually were believed to have accomplished something, not stumble around as laughable buffoons.

My sons inherited this trait from me. My wife used to laugh until she and some former friends laughed at my reluctance to invest with a guy, who made the hair on my arms not only stand up but bristle.

After that went bust, she doesn’t laugh anymore and listens to my hair saying warnin don’t go there.

Our grand daughter apparently has inherited the same early warning system and is refining it.

Unfortunately her brother, our grandson is like his Grandmother, my wife, often too trusting of people who haven’t earned their trust or should have lost it.

Okay, the joke is getting a little old.

After listening repeatedly, with eyes open & shut, deliberately trying to hear “God” instead of “Obama,” I come to the same conclusion as other posters here:

1) No doubt the crowd chants: “Hear our cry, Obama” in the early parts of the recording.

2) Later in the recording, some in the crowd say, “Deliver us, O God” while others — with my equipment and no analyzing software of any kind, it is impossible for me to isolate how many there may be — are definitely saying “Deliver us, Obama.”

Whether they ask to be heard by or delivered by Obama, the whole thing is blasphemy of the highest order. My assistant figured out what they were saying and immediately closed the window, saying, “I cannot listen to this. It’s making me sick to my stomach.” I can’t improve upon her brilliantly succint comment.
