Rightalk.com ^ | 2-20-08 | Bob J

1. Commander in Chief Hillary

2. Commander in Chief Obama

Hold your nose once more and
Vote McCain
Do it for the soldiers

Don't abandon them to the dems
Don't cut off our soldiers to spite the RNC

No matter how much I dislike McCain, I'm not leaving our heroes to twist in the wind and certain defeat by helping a dem get elected.

You want another Vietnam? You want to see another cut and run? Throw your vote away, help elect the witch or the wiccan.

Excellent!

I hope people will let their reason, not knee jerk reactions guide their votes.

Our country is at stake.

I detect that SANITY is returning to FR...

We can be mad that a genuine conservative didn't win the primary. But only children cry and toss over the game board when things aren't going their way.

We're supposed to be the party of adults, not emotional brats.

We aren't going to get a dream candidate this year. But, keeping in mind that the same people who hate McCain are the same ones who LOVED George W Bush because of his religious beliefs, among other things, and now despise him, I don't feel an ounce of sympathy for those folks when they whine about sitting out the election.

YOU can go ahead and help Hillary or Obama come to power and give Al Qaeda a HUGE win. I won't betray my country, which I love more than any political party.

This happened because our enemies believed we were weak. There has not been one major terrorist attack on US soil since. Throw your vote away and let the witch or wiccan win and they will abandon Iraq, our soldiers and our honor. More attacks will surely follow.

I hope sanity prevails. A lot of people around here for a while seemed hell bent on political suicide which in today’s world is tantamount to national suicide.

A precipitous withdrawal from Iraq will lead to twice the number of casualties we’ve already taken. This is one of several reasons that I’ll vote for John McCain.

I have a feeling that many of the loudest "NEVER!" voices will be talking a different line after a few months of "specifics" about Obama's ideas about where this country should go.

If McCain can keep it together without coming on like a crazy old coot with a double-barrel who's ready to shoot at kids who cut through his back yard, we may have a chance. But I fear the only way we can win is if Obama screws up royally AND Republicans take a long look at what an Obama presidency would be like and vote accordingly.

I hope we at FR are now past the seven stages of grief. It’s time to assess the situation and make logical and strategic decisions.

What will you tell 225 years worth of battle dead, when our southern border is rendered pointless due to a three nation security agreement that makes Mexico an integral part of our homeland security?

What will you tell them after the amnesty, and our states begin to break away due to saturation of Mexican citizens via millions upon millions of work visas?

What will you tell them when a North American Union sees our nation in subornation to it's governing body?

What will you tell them when the AU is finalized?

What will you tell them when the nation they died to create, protect and defend, is no longer a sovereign territory?

What will you tell them when we no longer have self-determination?

What will you say when you realize you voted for a man who doesn't grasp the slightest problem with any of this?

Oh yes, you can tell them, "Well, I voted for Republicans every time."  A lot of good that has done us in the last twenty years.

Not no Bob, but HELL NO.  I will never vote for John McCain, and as for sanity returning to this forum, that will happen when conservatives remember what conservatism truly is.

The two words REPUBLICAN PARTY are not the core of conservatism.  Conservatism is the core of the Republican Party.

The sooner folks acknowledge this and quit twisting reality into contortions to justify the unjustifiabe, the sooner this forum will get back on track.

And frankly, that's THE ONLY WAY the Republican party will get back on track, if it ever does.

Hey, I hear ya. McPain was literally my last choice among the GOP candidates (yes, even behind Huckabee), but we’ve got to play the hand we’ve been dealt. As bad as he is, as liberal as he is, the alternative is 10 times worse. Am I enthusiastic about McCain? No, but I’ll hold my nose and vote for him.

We’re liable to lose the Supreme Court if either dem becomes president. I’ll NEVER! exile in the wilderness and let that happen.

On the brighter side, a train wreck may be shaping up for the democrats. Both candidates seem prone to all sorts of embarrassing fopahs and neither have anything real to offer or say. The Hillary meltdown reminds that anything can yet happen.

Here’s one way to look at it… This is a battle for the future of our nation, not unlike a battle in a war (which I need not remind you we are in a war).

The goal of this battle is to take the supremacy of the Hilltop (the Presidency). We are on the hillside. We must crawl up through the mud, and the blood to reach that summit. Our sole support is each other. There is incredible dissent within the ranks, yet we all have the same goal… to take the hill. Some troops absolutely hate the commander, for he is known to harbor allegiance to some of the enemies beliefs. Others also have remorse such a man has been allowed to assume that leadership position, yet realize the hill must still be taken regardless of his shortcomings.

We are opposed by a Legion of communists, and socialists, who are also crawling up and fighting for the top. They, however, are being resupplied and supported by the surrounding village illiterate masses who have no idea what the battle is all about. Knowing only that they love the ideology, and, love their leaders, no matter how the contest turns out, and the resulting tyranny that awaits them.

At the top of this hill is a host of machine guns, flamethrowers, tanks, and anti personnel weaponry. Whoever reaches that summit will have all command and control of the rest of the battlefield.

Who would you want commanding that arsenal? The socialists, and their rabble of cut throat idiots? Who have sworn to tear down and “change” our Constitutional Republic for some undefined banner of “hope”?

Or would you want that imperfect commander, with all his shortcomings to gain the top, hoping he would not turn the hellfire on his own troops?

I don’t believe he’d fire upon his own. I also don’t believe he will complete his full term, just one look at this man justifies that statement. But what is the alternative? See above. McCain’s VP choice is paramount in this election… we are in for one helluva ride no matter which way it turns out.

Supporting our Troops… it’s that important…

McCain will probably still truly end up losing very badly on November 4 no matter what anybody says, both good and bad, about McCain! So, how does your explanations help to truly prevent this embarrassing loss by both McCain and the Republican Party at every political level on November 4? The Democrats at every political level truly have the political momentum going their way “big time”, and the Republicans at every political level are probably going to have their clocks cleaned on November 4! Please prove me wrong on all of this! The U.S. as a country is in for some very hard times ahead!

The Hillary meltdown reminds that anything can yet happen.

I'm not getting my hopes up, BUT until very recently I was positive Hillary was going to win it all.

While I do think she became more beatable, I think Obama is either completely invulnerable, or supremely beatable.

The problem is, when I see the unapologetic mash notes to Obama from the press, I don't see any hope for the truth about him getting through. Our only hope, I'm afraid, is that enough people detect they're not getting the whole story on him.

The BEST scenario, of course, would be if Hillary stole the nomination from Obama...

“This happened because our enemies believed we were weak. There has not been one major terrorist attack on US soil since. Throw your vote away and let the witch or wiccan win and they will abandon Iraq, our soldiers and our honor. More attacks will surely follow. “

Unfortunately this is all too true. There is no ambiguity in Hillary’s and Obama’s positions.

Now, now, the Pubs have always been the Party of optimism. Don’t give up so fast. The glass is half full, you know.

seriously, we can pray that by some miracle McCains VP choice will be divinely directed and be a true conservative, because.....we never know.....
