Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, subverting Obama claims (Uh-oh)
Israel Insider ^ | 3 July 2008 | Reuven Koret

Posted on 07/03/2008 4:35:19 PM PDT by SE Mom

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.

The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.

Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.

McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

I never thought I would ever see the name Odinga in more than one place. Especially in a removed, yet connected, scenario.

Hawaii is interesting as a US State. It's almost a territory of Japan, in some social ways. Japan's tropical resort.

I think that perhaps, after WW II, there may have been the sense among some that Hawaii could be the political redeemer of the world. Just speculation. A place in search of a sense of purpose!

Did you know that Grover Cleveland won the national popular vote for President three times -- and that if he had decided to run for a third term there's a good chance he would have won?

President Cleveland was a supporter of Princess Victoria Kaʻiulani. He opposed those who wished to annex Hawaii, Cleveland was an anti-imperialist. But according to Wikipedia

The Republic of Hawaii put their former queen on trial. The prosecution asserted that Liliʻuokalani had committed "misprision of treason," because she allegedly knew that guns and bombs for the Wilcox attempted counter-revolution had been hidden in the flower bed of her personal residence at Washington Place. She was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment at hard labor and a fine of $10,000. But the imprisonment was served in a small bedroom at ʻIolani Palace where she had a full-time maid-servant, and her "hard labor" consisted of composing songs and sewing a protest quilt containing symbols of the monarchy.

It would also answer the question in my mind about what Obama wrote in his book. He said Obama Sr. called home (Kenya) asking for help because Stanley Dunham threatened to have Obama Sr. thrown out of Harvard.

I was wondering why Stanley didn’t follow through on that. Most Dad’s would. Well, short of administering intense pain to the man that did that to their daughter, that is.

"If this picture is from Late 50s early 60s, then why is Stanley Davis there?"

Do you mean Stanley Dunham? If not who is Stanley Davis and which one is he?

Ok, I go along with that but what puzzles me is NOBODY knew who Barack Obama Sr. was before he came to Hawaii. In that picture he is receiving a BIG welcome (hence the Lei)

This was a well-publicized event in Hawaii. The people in the picture are welcoming him. Obama, Sr. was pictured in local papers upon his arrival and upon his graduation in 1962 (the same year he left for Harvard).

During his 1959 trip to the United States, the 29-year-old Mboya raised enough money for scholarships for 81 young Kenyans, including Obama Sr., with the help of the African-American Students Foundation. Records show that almost 8,000 individuals contributed. Early supporters included baseball star Jackie Robinson , who gave $4,000, and actors Harry Belafonte and Sidney Poitier.
There was enormous excitement when the Britannia aircraft took off for New York  with the future Kenyan elite on board. After a few weeks of orientation, the students were dispatched to universities across the United States to study subjects that would help them govern Kenya after the departure of the British. Obama Sr. was interested in economics and was sent to Hawaii, where he met, and later married, a Kansas  native named Ann Dunham. Barack Jr. was born in August 1961.
Among the other students on the first airlift was Philip Ochieng, who went on to become a prominent Kenyan journalist. In a 2004 article for the Nation, Kenya's leading newspaper, Ochieng remembered Obama Sr. as "charming, generous and extraordinarily clever," but also "imperious, cruel and given to boasting about his brain and his wealth." Obama Jr. paints a similar portrait in his best-selling 1995 autobiography, "Dreams From My Father," describing his father as exceptionally gifted but also "wild," "boastful" and "stubborn."

>>>snip<<<

According to a letter on file in the Mboya papers at Stanford University's Hoover Institution, "most" of Obama Sr.'s early expenses in the United States were covered by an international literacy expert named Elizabeth Mooney Kirk, who had traveled widely in Kenya. Kirk wrote to Mboya in May 1962 to request additional funds to "sponsor Barack Obama  for graduate study, preferably at Harvard." She said she would "like to do more" to assist the young man but had two stepchildren ready for college.

Yes, I saw that, but those were adopted African names by Black Panthers born in the U.S.

I'm not quite sure you can believe much of anything Obama wrote. There are so many holes in the story that you can fit just about anything into the scenario.

I just got Corsi's book, and he describes "Dreams" as "a psychological self-examination" and "What we are told by Obama outright is that much of the autobiography is not factually true, at least not as written."

You can say that again, and it keeps getting muddier the more the adoring media writes about it, and the more he lies about it.

Thanks for all the information. Without my questioning things I wouldn't have learned all this. ;-) This thread has been a good source of information.

From article you posted: "In a 2004 article for the Nation, Kenya's leading newspaper, Ochieng remembered Obama Sr. as "charming, generous and extraordinarily clever," but also "imperious, cruel and given to boasting about his brain and his wealth." How in the heck would he know this since he only met him for a few days, weeks, when he was 11 years old. He is just voicing what others have said.

I read that too. Corsi did a nice job describing Obama’s book. I thought he gave Obama way too much of the benefit of the doubt. I’m seeing more and more commie finger prints on everything.

I thought the Divorce Record info interesting since Lolo Soetoro supposedly died in 1987 yet the proceeding was not terminated until 1988 per this record.

The file would remain open and active if there were any issues before the court -- child custody, child support, alimony, or any sort of property distribution. Sometimes, the files can remain over for decades, e.g. if one spouse is granted part of another spouse's pension.

Barack's half-sister, Maya Soetoro, was born in August 1970. So the case is terminated a few months after her 18th birthday, which does not strike me as odd.

By the way, it wouldn't surprise me if Davis knew Obama, Sr. Davis considered himself what we might call a "swinger," and liked to hang out with college kids, drinking and listening to jazz (same as the UH crowd that Obama, Sr. and Ann Dunham were said to belong to). I picked up a cheap copy of Davis' bio (definitely not a best-seller), and he writes (contrary to Obama's description of racism in Hawaii):

"Afro-American brothers made out with all kinds of dolls. One pure black African student from Ghana wreaked havoc among co-eds at the university, and the wife of a prominent white local politician considered shucking her husband for him; another student from Kenya split, leaving two pregnant blondes."

Davis, who was married to a white woman from a prominent Chicago family and had five kids with her after moving to Hawaii, also wrote some "soft porn" novels under an assumed name, according to the editor of his bio, John Tidwell, but I'm not so sure they were all that "soft."  He was quite a character -- but definitely not one I'd want to expose my grandson to.

IIRC before that, it was Rhodesia.

Kenya was part of British East Africa. Rhodesia became Zimbabwe.

Sorry for the late response power went out here yesterday and I am just now catching up. Earlier I had posted a link to an aticle in ‘The Honolulu Adverstiser’ which has a 1959 picture of Obama Sr along with quotes from an article about him which appeared after his 1962 graduation but before he left for the mainland. The 1962 article is mentioned in one of Obama’s books as something he had found when he also supposedly found his birth certificate. However in his book he said the article was from the ‘Honolulu Star Bulletin’ NOT the ‘Honolulu Advertiser’. You can see the picture of Obama Sr taken in 1959 and also exerpts of his 1962 interview here:

http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2007/Feb/10/ln/FP702100346.html

Also interesting to note that there are only two locations given of where Sr lived while going to school in Hawaii and neither is the address mentioned in the birth announcement. The address listed in the birth announcement is over 7 miles away from the University of Hawaii while the Atherton YMCA and St Louis Heights are both within one mile of the University.
