The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway!

Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.

The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.

Thank you all very much for your continued support.

P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.

Donate to FR and help us keep the lights on for the best political forum on the NET!

Here are the two others with Honey, the worlds sweetest dog.

What is truly amazing about this pic is that Honey's wildest dreams were to eat a cat for 12 of her 13 years, and here she has two snuggling up to her.

Hey Dutchess, count the two shown here after the single portait of Honey, the world's sweetest, and now wuss dog.

Little dog with a big-dog spirit. And one of the smartest breeds I've ever encountered. Their herding instincts are very evident when they sprint - they can't do it without running in arcs and circles!

All the kittens love Honey, so she had to be more hospitable. My daughter had 12 kittens here in the past year, finding homes for the offspring of two kittens that were thrown from a car in front of her at the park.

I never wanted a cat, but Honey did. Now she has to put up with them kneading her glorious tail.

If my dog can accept cats, it seems to me that lots of lurkers and posters can accept a few dollars out of their bank account to keep this site going. :-)

Please my fellow loyal American FReepers...take a moment to vote on this ridiculous Time Europ anti American, ant Bush hit poll...

"Who really poses the greatest danger to world peace? Iraq and North Korea are certainly high on President Bush's list though Iraq is still working hard to deny him a reason to attack. A 12,000-page report on its nuclear, chemical and biological programs has been given to the United Nations but Bush and his dependable friend Tony Blair say they have "solid evidence" that Saddam is lying and have called for weapons inspection teams to step up their work.

"Meanwhile, as the fuel rods go in and UN inspectors go away, the specter of a nuclear-armed North Korea is keeping the reclusive regime on everybody's radar. Washington and Pyongyang are talking tough but is the biggest danger to peace closer to home? European antagonism towards Bush's robust stance is now being mirrored in the U.S., with even those he might normally consider his allies now urging caution."

This is tailor written for the DU crowd!

Results:

US - 72.5%

Iraq - 17.3%

N. Korea - 10.2%

God Bless You and Your Daughter ... "My daughter had 12 kittens here in the past year, finding homes for the offspring of two kittens that were thrown from a car in front of her at the park."

I told my wife to stay away from parks, she had a habit of running into strays. We actually got homes for a couple of 'em.. Now if I just could break her of watching QVC and HSN Shopping channels.

Thanks for caring about animals (Did you now FReeper pets keep the demRats population in check?) .. Well, thatt's just a pet theory of mine anyway ;-)
