  • McDonald's signs onto 'gay' agenda

This is an email I got from a friend yesterday. I checked it on Snopes yesterday and didn’t see anything about it.

According to McDonald’s CEO Jim Skinner, McDonald’s will aggressively promote the homosexual agenda. In remarks on McDonald’s Web site concerning the company becoming a member of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), Skinner wrote: “Being a socially responsible organization is a fundamental part of who we are. We have an obligation to use our size and resources to make a difference in the world … and we do.”

The company gave an undisclosed amount of money to the NGLCC in return for being recognized as a major promoter of the homosexual agenda. In return, NGLCC placed Richard Ellis, vice president of communications of McDonald’s USA, on the NGLCC Board of Directors.

Ellis was quoted as saying: “I’m thrilled to join the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce team and ready to get to work. I share the NGLCC’s passion for business growth and development within the LGBT community, and I look forward to playing a role in moving these important initiatives forward.”

McDonald’s refused to comment to World Net Daily on the placement of its executive on the board of the “gay” advocacy organization but did send an e-mail confirming the corporation’s support for the agenda of the homosexual business lobby.

“McDonald’s is indeed a Corporate Partner and Organizational Ally of NGLCC. Our vice president of U.S. communications, Richard Ellis, was recently elected to its board of directors,” said Heidi M. Barker, senior director of media relations for McDonald’s. NGLCC describes itself as promoting the LGBT community first and always, including same sex marriage.

NGLCC gives credit to sponsors such as McDonald’s for its financial and other support that helps in its work. “Through the commitment of our corporate partners, the NGLCC has been able to advance the ideas and causes of the LGBT business community,” the Chamber said.

I agree with you about Carville. I generally don’t like anything he says but one thing I do like is that he says what he says and doesn’t apologize for it. That is one thing that has been driving me crazy about this whole campaign season of late. It seems that after every debate, speech, interview or public statement, Clinton and Obama are out apologizing, making excusing, having different memories, firing someone who made a comment, constantly trying to cover up some new lie. They would look like better candidates if they just said what they said and went on. No excuses. We aren’t stupid. We know Clinton lies -alot. We see the video of her trip to Bosnia. She doesn’t need to comment. It won’t help her. We find out about the lies. We know Obama went to that church and knew exactly what Rev. Wright stood for. That’s why is wife is only just for the first time proud of America, that’s why Obama won’t wear a flag pin or cross his heart during the pledge. He is fully sold in to that doctrine and he is taking his children with him to hear the hate speech. He is what he is. There is no need to come out with all the stuff like he didn’t hear any of that, or not much of it or maybe he did, but he didn’t agree with it. Come on, say what you say, quit making excuses. We’ll figure out the rest!

  • An officer escorting Clinton's motorcade in Texas has died after crashing his motorcycle

According to the local Dallas news Hillary was not told about accident until after the Oak Cliff rally. She then went to Ft. Worth, met briefly with the people there, told them what happened and canceled the rally. She then went back to Methodist hospital in Dallas where the officer had been taken to be with the family. I think this was absolutely the right thing to do and the best way to handle the situation. The news has said nothing about his motorcycle being hit by her car or anyone else’s, only that he lost control of his bike. And I don't believe having a motorcade is selfish or arrogant. It is the way things are done.
I don’t like much about Hillary and can probably count on one finger the nice things I have said about her. But I think when we jump to blame her for things like this it can take away our credibility for the many things she is actually responsible for.

I remember when Bush was running for governor of Texas. So many people wanted to know if he won would he leave office after a short time to run for president. Reporters asked him that question over and over again in every way imaginable. His answer was always the same. “I don’t know. If it is that important to you to know one way or the other to vote for me then just don’t vote for me.”
I loved that candid response. No spin. No skirting the topic. No play on words. Just his typical it is what it is type response. That is what I like about Fred Thompson. No masks. He has the same sense about him that says “This is who I am. This is what needs to be done. I can do it. If you agree, vote for me. If not, don’t” But none of this changing and playing with words to try and please everyone.

I can’t stand any of the Viagra or similar product ads. Same goes for Gieco Cavemen. Newest one I don’t like is some cleaning woman who goes into offices and yanks shirts off men to wash them and then stands on a mountain in the end holding some flag and saying something, can’t remember what. There’s also one about some cold remedy where a guy pulls a cloth out of someones ear that says mucus and then a different guy pulls out a lot of cloths saying things like mucous, headache... That is a dumb one along with the Ricola ones.
But I do like anything Hallmark does, or Oreo, anything truly funny, or that represents the best in people.

I don’t think it matters who delivered the death blow. He went in to that church loaded and obviously ready to harm as many people as he could. She stopped him. She’s the hero. Actually, if I was the guard I’d be a little relieved the fatal blow came from his own gun.
I’m sure the families from that church will be thanking their heavenly Father for this woman who acted so quickly and stopped this planned blood bath.

I’ll agree that I do not know the “big city” public school experience and that is by choice. I was just taken back by the blanket all public school statements.
I am curious though, If there are enough Christians in the school system that by pulling out the public school system would crumble could not that same number of Christians affect change within the system if that was their focus?
I wonder sometimes, if one person’s complaint can cause a city to remove a Christmas tree what a large group of Christians, totally focused, totally united and totally led by God can do.
By the way, I do believe vouchers are the way to go and hope my children’s children at least will have that choice.
May God continue to bless you and your family.

As a devoted Christian and former public school teacher I simply disagree. My two children are in public school. One was in private school for a while. Many of my friends home school and do a first rate job. I believe there are and should be Christians everywhere. As responsible parents we choose what is best for our children, which may not be best for your child. They are all different. And by staying very involved we make a difference and our children see us take a stand on what we believe. It can be done at any school. To say Christian support of public education is completely inappropriate is to say as Christians we can’t make a difference where we are and I don’t believe that. Wherever and however you choose to educate your child there are challenges that have to be overcome. Home schooling is a great choice for many, but it is not best for many others. I’ve seen many thrive because of it and many suffer from it.

That is one of the most stupid things I’ve read here.

I’m a Christian parent with two children in public school. They are thriving and doing well. We researched schools before we built our home so that we could have them in what we consider the best district. It is a small 2A school. We are very involved, know what is going on and know what is being taught. We have a daughter in high school and a son in middle school. The school is not a babysitter. If a child is home schooled is the parent simply a babysitter?
I understand no place is perfect, neither is a home school. I could give you examples but I won’t.
