We hold debates at colleges, in front of students. Why not have a debate in front of soldiers? Fort Hood, as we all know, was the scene of a terroriss attack...or as Obama calls it...workplace violence. It's rich that a pal of Bill Ayers - Barrack Obama-- says Donald Trump is not fit to be a Commander In Chief. Let's see what the troops think.

Any of you guys (or ladies) self-employed, and have your own S Corporation? What kind of tax deductions are you allowed to take? I have an accountant, and he's going over all of my deductions, but I'm trying to find more. For example, I pay for my health insurance - and the accountant says that tax deductible. So it stands to reason that my prescription medication (which I pay for out of my own pocket) should be tax deductable too.

The American people voted to live in the Democrats' world. A lot of them seem think there's a bottomless well of money and free stuff to be given away, and they want it. So I say, let's give them what they want. If Obama wants higher taxes on producers, let's not stand in his way. If he wants more government benefits, let's allow it. In short, let's California-ize the U.S. And when the economy sinks to new lows, as it surely will, moochers won't be able to mooch anymore. The gravy train will have passed the station. Reality may be...

That same poll shows Romney up by five among independents. And yet this poll has a D+4 sample. That might be a little high, but it's not as outrageous as some of the others. So how is this possible? Because to me, the numbers don't add up. Does this have something to do with the early Ohio voting that shows Obama ahead 2-1? Yet, I've also read that Romney leads by five or six among likely voters. And how does all this jibe with the early voting turnout numbers we've seen on this board = that show a depressed Dem...

This is the latest party registration I could find by state. It was taken by Gallup in February. I think it's important to take into consideration how the current polls are weighted. For example, if we were looking at a presidential poll for New York State, a D+20 advantage would seem logical. But in the swing states, neither party has a major advantage. Now, according to a personal poll taken by Dick Morris, there was a massive switch to Democrats after their convention. But Morris said he expected that advantage to fade before the election. At any rate, here's the...

The pollsters are betting that a significantly higher number of Democrats than Republicans will turn out in November. The latest NBC/WSJ poll for Ohio, for example, assumes a D+1O turnout - in a state that has +2 more Republicans than Democrats! Romney will win the presidency. I believe that the majority of independents are with us, and that the majority of undecideds (however few) will break for us. That leaves the rest of us to turn out. We need to be confident, but we can't rest either until Obama is sent packing. I have to mention something else. I like...

Rassmussen and Gallup national polls show a close race between Romney and Obama. Yet most swing state polls show Obama with a sizable lead. Why the disparity? We all know that many of the polls oversample Democrats. But I still believe Obama has a slight lead in most of those states. Obama has been bombarding airwaves in Ohio, FL, VA, CO, etc, with commercials, while Romney has been relatively quiet. Obviously Romney is going to spend most of his money after the convention. My question is, will those ads slam Obama, or will they lay out Romney's agenda? I think...

As a guy who's been unemployed for a few months, I've made a habit of looking for silver linings in the darkness. Folks, there is some good news to this monstrosity: now Romney's path to the White House is pretty much assured. Up until today, Obama had one issue that was haunting him: the economy. He could blame the GOP for not doing being "bipartisan"...a charge that has always made me nauseous. But as of today, Obama's got to defend a policy that the majority of American people don't like. And he can't blame the Republicans for this - they...

Has anyone seen the polls on real clear politics? While nearly all the polls show Obama with a 50% or higher disapproval rate, they also show Obama head to head with every candidate in the general election and swing states. What gives?
-
I don't get this. Unemployment ticked up to 9% last month. Gas and food prices are on the rise. And yet in almost every major poll, Obama's over 50%. Don't tell me it's because Americans are stupid; Obama's numbers have been dreadful until recently. I know he got a bounce from the Bin Laden killing, but what's going on now?

trying to catch and kill this monster. I'm not just referring to Americans, but all the NATO allies as well. Let this victory be theirs too, and in your rejoicing, please remember them and their families.

I hate writing a statement calling for the killing of a human being - even a horrific human being like Khaddafi. But if history has taught us anything, it's that this guy holds a grudge. Reagan bombed Tripoli in response to Khadaffi's involvement murder of U.S. servicemen in Germany. It's unfortunate we didn't kill the bastard then. Three years later, Khaddafi responded with the Pan Am bombing. What will Khaddafi do this time? If our objective is to defend the Libyan rebels, we can't just scare Khaddafi - we'll have to kill him. Because now we've ensured the rebels will...

Independent voters decide elections. And independent voters care more about where the candidate stands on the issues rather than the candidate's past. Polls show that people like Obama personally, but disagree with him on the majority of the issues. In other words, let's not make this election about whether or not Obama's an American citizen. Let's talk about his lousy record on spending, his refusal to secure the borders or catch illegal ailiens. Let's talk about his indecisiveness on the Mideast, while Egypt and Libya burn. Let's talk about how our children will bear the cost of his runaway spending....

It's a terrible thing to admit, so close after the shootings. But the Left hates to let a crisis go to waste. Even this loony Tuscon sheriff seems to put more blame on free speech than the shooter. His demougogic (sp)display on the Fox interview was appalling. ("When people try to stand in the way of those who want to make this a better country...") WTF? The Left is going all out to blame the Tea Party for this. I truly pray the American people will seem for what they are - ghouls who try to score political points while...

After 9/11, the country came together, if only for a brief time. It was a wonderful thing to see - a silver lining in a very dark cloud. Compare that to today's tragedy. The corpses aren't even cold, and Sarah Palin's practically been indicted for accessory to murder. I think it's fair to say that on the Left, there's more anger toward her than the gunman. It's an indication of how much more divided this country has become in the last ten years.

Supposedly, young people in Iran were inspired by Obama's Cairo speech. Where is Obama now, when the government is shooting protesters? Today could have been Obama's 'Tear Down This Wall' moment. He could have offered his support to the courageous Iranians in the streets tonight. He could have recognized those protesters for what they are - fighters in the name of freedom. These kids already respected him and would have been inspired. Instead, his speech was lame and non-committal. I'm not one of these conservatives who believes liberals are traitors. My problem with liberals is they lack the backbone to...

Has anyone mentioned his name as a GOP candidate for president? He's certainly said all the right things in the last month. He's got experience - he's been governor of TX since Bush took the White House. Is this a guy who would excite you if he ran? Could he win in the general election?

The media is saying she broke a 'state ethics law' but will not state the specific crime. Where there other factors that lead to the firing? Yes! What you're seeing with Palin is the tip of the iceberg. When Obama is president, members of the Bush administration will go on trial for war crimes. As we've seen with Palin, these crimes don't have to be 'actual' ones. Guys like Rush and Hannity will lose their microphone. Don't be surprised if an Obama administration monitors the internet. We need to get out the vote this November. Bring your friends and family...

I'm not an expert at reading polls (and I appreciate the commentary from those of you who are), but it seems obvious to me that there are a few factors which makes the polls unreliable. We know the polls sample more Democrats than Republicans. But these "Democrats" could very well include.... 1. Voters from Operation Chaos. 2. Disgruntled Hillary voters who will either vote for McCain or won't vote at all 3. More youth - but given their voting habits in the past, they're hardly reliable. On the other hand, I've heard Obama supporters say those numbers are low -...

This is a question for you poll analysts. I know Obama's up in the polls, but I've heard McCain is doing very well among Independents. Is this true?
