Under President Obama’s new policy, however, if the state that has just attacked us with biological or chemical weapons is “in compliance with the Non-Proliferation Treaty,” explained Gates, then “the U.S. pledges not to use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against it.”
Imagine the scenario: Hundreds of thousands are lying dead in the streets of Boston after a massive anthrax or nerve gas attack. The president immediately calls in the lawyers to determine whether the attacking state is in compliance with the NPT. If it turns out that the attacker is up-to-date with its latest IAEA inspections, well, it gets immunity from nuclear retaliation. (Our response is then restricted to bullets, bombs and other conventional munitions.)
However, if the lawyers tell the president that the attacking state is NPT noncompliant, we are free to blow the bastards to nuclear kingdom come.
This is quite insane. It’s like saying that if a terrorist deliberately uses his car to mow down a hundred people waiting at a bus stop, the decision as to whether he gets hanged or 100 hours of community service hinges entirely on whether his car had passed emissions inspections.
Apart from being morally bizarre, the Obama policy is strategically loopy. Does anyone believe that North Korea or Iran will be more persuaded to abjure nuclear weapons because they could then carry out a biological or chemical attack on the United States without fear of nuclear retaliation?
The naivete is stunning.

Virtually word for word. All we need now is a reincarnated Ronald Reagan to make it happen and we need to be wise and strong in our selection of that person. We will not find a person who can “be” Reagan and, even if we did, that person would probably not be electable in this self-absorbed world. It is largely up to the people - the people who matter - of this country to push self interest aside and make a wise selection.

Not to exonerate this sick killer, but when we saw three of the teens interviewed on TV, the guy had black hair - didn’t look Norwegian at all, and the two girls interviewed were a light shade of black, definitely not of Norwegian ethnicity either.
I’ve checked the internet and not one of the news media reports on what kind of camp it was other than it was a camp for children. However, one report called it a “political” camp.
If this were a camp for Muslim children, I’m sure the media would not want to report that. What do you think?

It was a summer indoctrination camp run by Norway’s ruling Labor Party for up-and-coming children of the ruling elite.
Glen Beck was not far off when he compared it to the Hitlerjungend or Young Pioneers. It’s so the junior members of the aristocracy can be properly told what to think and can network with each other in preparation for their brilliant careers ruling over the peasants.
I saw at least one article that had photos of previous summers with the little dearies and their handlers assembling Israel-bashing displays.
We Americans had similar traditions further back in the twentieth-century. The likes of David Horowitz and Ronald Radosh have written of the red-diaper summer camps their parents sent them to. There are still institutions such as the “Midwest Academy” where budding labor activists go get schooled in labor and community organizing over the summer.
Not to mention the many religiously-oriented summer camps that have long been a cultural staple.

Oh, and I forgot, they also get the government to tie a patriot’s hands, calling him vigilante and shooting him in the back with SWAT teams, revising the media stories and history, when under attack in his own house and neighborhood by islamic death squads in schools, at night, when fighting “wars of contingencies”, and in all public and private institutions.
