Mitt Romney will campaign in Pennsylvania on Sunday, the first time he's campaigned in the state in many weeks, a Romney campaign official told The Hill. Romney's campaign has been increasingly bullish about its prospects in the state, launching its first ad there earlier this week. A number of GOP outside groups have also bought millions of dollars in airtime for the final push there. Obama's campaign has scoffed at Romney's push in Pennsylvania and other states they previously haven't contested, although they are investing in ads to combat the GOP outside group's efforts.

Mitt Romney has the lead in Ohio and trails narrowly in Wisconsin, according to a new poll for the Republican group Citizens United. Romney leads Obama by 49 to 46 percent in Ohio, according to the poll, and trails Obama in Wisconsin by 49 to 47 percent, according to polling first obtained by The Hill.

The poll, released Oct. 31, found Romney leading the president 45.2 percent to 44.4 percent among voters who said they plan to vote.

Just as the presidential race is deadlocked in the campaign’s final days, the candidates are also running about even when it comes to the ground game. Voters nationally, as well those in the closely contested battleground states, report being contacted at about the same rates by each of the campaigns. Revisions to the way payroll data firm ADP counts private sector job creation have resulted in a sharp drop in the September employment count.ADP's new calculations put the monthly job creation at just 88,2000, down from the 162,000 the firm originally reported earlier this month. The firm recently has entered into a partnership with Moody's Analytics that will change the way the private payroll count is calculated. Governor Mitt Romney has overtaken President Barack Obama by a very narrow margin in Virginia (49% - 44%), according to a Roanoke College Poll conducted after the Presidential debates. Republican George Allen also enjoys a 5 point lead over Democrat Tim Kaine (47% - 42%) in the race for the U.S. Senate seat in Virginia. My pal Guy Benson found a juicy nugget that helps to bring more clarity to the news from Gallup yesterday that shows Romney leading Obama in the early vote by a full seven points, 52-45%. Almost exactly four years ago (October 28, 2008), according to Gallup, Obama was massacring John McCain among early voters with a fifteen-point lead, 55-40%.
