The UK did recognize a tribal marriage. A tribal marriage was legal in Kenya. Go read the law in Kenya. The government has a website where you can research old law.

If you had a lawyer representing you and you put your career and the safety of you and your family on the line..would you want your attorney to recognize this is a problem..or would you want your attorney to just go blindly down one path.

You are quite wise in your analysis. When powerful arguments like you espouse are placed in the hands of individuals who are not used to such persuasive weaponry, they themselves become overwhelmed with the power that such logic provides. Do not be discouraged. I have followed your thought processes from the start and they are airtight. My last reply should have been to rummychick. Sometimes I think so deeply about these issues that I lose sense of some things. EVERYTHING EXCEPT LOGIC, THAT IS. We have these folks on the run.
