I just switched from pro life to pro choice because I am a liberal who likes watching babies die and from pro gun to anti gun because I don't give a crap about my property or the safety of my family. I've always supported amnesty for illegal aliens. Because I profit off helping them steal identities..

My grandfather was born in Northern Ireland in 1900. I don’t know his parents’ names, but I know my mom does.

Lately, I’ve been listening to music when I do the input. Yesterday it was classical Spanish Guitar music, and some Balalaika music.
Time flies. Fingers fly. Back ACHES!! LOL!!
Morning all. Another somewhat sleepless night. But now it’s to be up, get breakfast and sit in meetings all morning.
Mostly in the Norse lines, there are birth dates, but not death dates very often. The farther back we go into the genealogy, the harder it is to fix dates, partly due to the fact that most people were illiterate, unless one was in a royal house, and the fact that there were no standardized calendars, so dates had to be reckoned by current events.
My Scandanavian lines are mostly found after the Plantagenets, so dates are not necessarily accurate.
But it’s an interesting story, for sure, and I’ll keep my eyes open for it.
Everything (mostly) is on the computer, these days. When I first got my genealogy, it was all on paper (1982) and there was a lot of data that was missing. With this latest input effort, I’ve gotten probably twice the information that I had, plus details on what was already in my paperwork.
As a result, I’m almost overwhelmed with information. Sure is a fun thing to do to pass the time!
I’m beginning to think my posterior is glued to this chair.
And now I’m thinking I need a new chair. I’ll check on freecycle.com and see what I can find.
Maybe someone will be good to me. A chair with arms would be good so I could rest mine....
Only for a few more days, then we will move on.

My mom has done her family tree back to the early 1800’s when some evil white Scandinavians settled in Virginia. Some of them later went to Texas and one got hiself kilt’ in 1863 when he went back to Va. as part of Hood’s calvary.
Another in Texas went on to become a minor politician and hosted a speech by Sam Houston on his front porch.
After that the only info she could find about those immediately before her grandfather were stories of them becoming prospectors and miners in the SW and Mexico.
Except for one who stayed in Texas and shot a man in church.
