On www.wintersoldier.com's Timeline page, it says "April 22, 1972 -- John Kerry represents the VVAW at the "Emergency March for Peace" in Bryant Park in New York City."
At that same time, according to the FBI surveillance file, Section 50, Part 1, Page 152. VVAW/WSO revealed information about a US Military operation. "...the VVAW/WSO operation during 4/72 during which a canvass of VVAW/WSO members, some in active military service, developed information indicating US would bomb Hanoi and Haiphong. This information was disseminated by VVAW/WSO prior to the actual bombing and could have seriously jeopardized US Military operations and lives of servicemen."

Very few of those IRR called back have requested an exemption.
During the first Gulf War a neighbor went back who was an engineer in his 50s.
Since you are so willing to point a finger, I am curious about your background. Have you been a POW? Ever been tortured?
There aren't very many Chemical officers either (esp. since for awhile they melded them into Ordnance - that experiment didn't last long though), so whenever things looked interesting on the international scene we began to speculate when we would get The Letter . . . but we never did.
They did call my father in law (another WWII OCS type like my dad, Signal Corps and then Army Air Force) back early in the 'Nam years, he eventually retired as a bird colonel.
Are you working for John McCain?
Bless them for their service. You must be so proud.
So I take it the answer to both questions is no.
Are you working for John McCain?
Since I have never met the man or anyone connected to him, I would have to answer that one with a no. Bit on the paranoid are you?
Didn't Hanoi Jane deny that? Shouldn't we take her word as gospel truth? LOL
The men of our family have been in every scrap since the French & Indian War, including the lesser known conflicts like the Creek War although I think we missed Black Jack Pershing's punitive expedition into Mexico . . . no professionals other than our sole Navy man, great uncle Henry who served with Dewey at Manila . . . citizen soldiers all.
Darn right we're proud! :-D
This might interest you - my daughter's interview with my dad was featured in the Freeper Foxhole back in January.
It seems that we have forgotten that Kerry was a member of the VVAW when it took a vote to assassinate congressional leaders who were not opposed to the Viet Nam War? Add conspiracy to treason IMHO.......
I went to the corbis website and did an image search for kERRY NIXON (little k, the rest all caps). It turned up 1 photo, and it's the one with kerry watching Nixon on tv. If you click the photo, it brings up another screen with a larger image of the photo, caption, and some other stuff. It says the photos was taken January 24, 1973 in Lowell, Massachusetts. It identifies him as a Vietnam vet and head of Vietnam Veterans Against the War.
Bump!
"2. Page two of a document dated September 9,1971 concerning speakers at a VVAW rally, reads in part; A rally is scheduled for one P.M. September twelve next at the park. Scheduled speakers include Neil Mc Laughlin, one of eight persons indicted by FGC in four three seventy one for conspiracy to kidnap presidential advisor Henry Kissinger and blow up heating tunnels in Washington D.C."
OH MY GOSH------THIS JUST GETS CREEPIER AND CREEPIER.....
WHO IN THE HELL IS John Kerry, anyway? And HOW IN THE HELL is he a United States Senator?
This man is dangerous. Any man that would betray his fellow troops like he has, in so many hurtful and down right DANGEROUS ways is UNFIT to be a senator, much less a PRESIDENT!!!
Who is the dude on FR who runs this.....need to check this out.
ping me to anything interesting
The photo you describe is at the Boston Globe website. They changed everything to JAVA, so I can't give you a direct link.
1. Start here:
http://www.boston.com/globe/nation/packages/kerry/061503.shtml
2. Click on "more photos" to the right of the Kennedy photo
3. Select "Part 3"
4. On the right hand side, click "next" until you get to about the 5th picture in "Part 3".
The caption of that photo says:
"John Kerry, a director of the Vietnam Veterans against the War, testifies before the Senate Foreign Relations committee April 22, 1971.
CORRECTION... (I hate Java!)
The Nixon photo says:
"John Kerry watches President Richard Nixon announce the cease-fire in Vietnam on January 24, 1973. "
Did the Pentagon declassify that photo, or was it leaked?
ping me when you put up your findings.
May I ask?
Where did you access what you're reading?
