Just in. I am looking at a picture of the WTC with smoke pouring out of the western tower. Looks like a huge amount of damage. Debris raining down on people in the street.

Just now sitting here reading all the 911 post is truly amazing to see the reactions of people and how they handled it.

The ones about GW being pissed is really the tale tale sign of where we are at right now in this WOT.

I will never forget the look on his face getting off that chopper and walking into the WH. As much as the anger was distinctly visible, the steadfast resoluteness was clearly more evident.

Thank God in heaven it was him rightfully ELECTED President in this time!

I had been following the trials of al Qaeda members in NYC and one of them was due to be sentenced the following Thursday. I'm sure it was in the back of my mind (I think I thought it was a jail break)--plus that they had tried to blow up the WTC in 1993. And there had been a CNN special about the treatment of women in Afghanistan on the previous Sunday. And Masood had just been assassinated. I think it was a lucky, educated guess.

Thanks for the ping ... this horror is already being rewritten by the liberal bilgespilltists. And make no mistake about it, clinton had strong intel from 1993, 1994, and 1995, that the terrorists were focusing upon Washington targets, not just WTC. That's why he snickered and whispered to cohorts that they were leaving a few surprises for the incoming president, in my calculations! That's why I wrote that op-ed on pre-emptive deterrence versus liberal 'head-in-sand' methodology for dealing with terrorism.
