Steve Lonegan has dedicated his time in public life to fighting for New Jersey taxpayers. When he became mayor of Bogota, NJ in 1996, Lonegan immediately cut municipal spending, eliminated wasteful and duplicative services, privatized some functions and instituted a more cost-efficient, user-friendly government. As a result, Bogota’s municipal spending remained constant for the entire 12 years of Steve’s tenure. He also kept debt and tax increases far below inflation despite massive state mandates and aid reductions to suburban towns like Bogota. Thanks to Steve’s strong, conservative leadership, Republicans kept council control for 11 straight elections, and Steve was reelected...

From TheDC Photodesk: Vets storm WWII memorial, march on White House By Grae Stafford 12:38 PM 10/13/2013 Hundreds of veterans descended on Washington, D.C. on Sunday under overcast skies and light rain to protest the closure of the war memorials during the government shutdown — and tore down the barricades surrounding the memorials to sounds of horns from truckers and cars and the roar of motorcycle engines. They were joined by Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who urged the Democratically-controlled Senate and President Barack Obama to remove the barricades...

Please pardon the vanity! I just got home from an Overpasses for Obama's Impeachment rally in Latham, NY. This one was to support the truckers effort. WHAT A BLAST! Thousands of cars passed us and the majority of them honked, gave 'thumbs up' and/or waved encouragingly. A few people hollered 'THANKS!" We got a very few negative shouts and maybe 7 'thumbs down'. There were 6 of us, and 2 more people parked their car and joined us. How cool is that??? I swear to you as well, a few black guys walked past us at different times and they...

A new rally is forming, “Million Vet March On The Memorials” that will be held 9am October 13, 2013 at the war memorials in Washington D.C. The group is fed up with veterans being used as political pawns and are calling all patriots to attend, via their facebook page: We are all military brats, current and former military spouses and some veterans. We cannot express how utterly disappointed we were that our Greatest Generation were being used as political pawns in the ongoing government shutdown and budget crisis. This should never be the case. We do not care what political...

Less than a month ago, hundreds of thousands of bikers rolled into Washington DC to protest a Muslim march that was planned to be held on the 12th anniversary of 9/11. Even though they were denied a permit, one estimate put the number of bikers who participated in that event at 880,000. Eric Zern, one of two national coordinators of the “2 Million Bikers Ride to DC” is now coordinating the Ride for WWII Veterans Memorial ~ Escort & Honor Ride.
