WASHINGTON – A U.S. senator has weighed in on the continuing controversy over Barack Obama's eligibility for office by saying he has never seen proof the new president was actually born in Hawaii. "Well, his father was Kenyan and they said he was born in Hawaii, but I haven't seen any birth certificate," Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., told constituents in Cullman County. "You have to be born in America to be president."

We might have just arrived at the tipping point -- the critical mass to get Obama to release his birth certificate. Four Tennessee legislators have signed on as plaintiffs in a lawsuit forcing Obama to prove his US citizenship. Two more legislators have publicly announced they will also join the suit, one from Arizona, the other from New Hampshire. Tonight, we talk to two of the Tennessee legislators, and the attorney bringing the suit forward. Don't miss it -- we hit the ground running at 9 p.m. ET. Link to here to hear. Obama - natural born citizen?

A high-powered team of Los Angeles attorneys representing President Obama in his effort to keep his birth certificate, college records and passport documents concealed from the public has suggested there should be "monetary sanctions" against a lawyer whose clients have brought a complaint alleging Obama doesn't qualify for the Oval Office under the Constitution's demand for a "natural born" citizen in that post. The suggestion came in an exchange of e-mails and documents in a case brought by former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others in California. The case originally sought to have the state's electors ordered to withhold their...

On January 31st, World Net Daily reported on a new lawsuit challenging Barack Obama's eligibility to be president, this one targeting Congress as a defendant for its "failure" to uphold the constitutional demand to make sure Obama qualified before approving the Electoral College vote that actually designated him as the occupant of the Oval Office. The new case raises many of the same arguments as dozens of other cases that have flooded into courtrooms around the nation since the November election. It is being brought by attorney Mario Apuzzo of New Jersey on behalf of Charles F. Kerchner Jr., Lowell T....

Andy Martin and Jerome Corsi were both denied access to Obama's birth certificate for not having a "tangible interest" in their quest to view the secured document. After Atty. Berg was denied in Philadelphia for lack of standing, we assumed that Lightfoot vs. Bowen would most certainly fulfill this requirement as Gail Lightfoot was a Vice-presidential candidate and what Justice in the world could ever rule that she didn't have standing ? Well, we all know where that wound up ! And now Keyes vs. Lingle was also dismissed ! If 'standing' was in question, that's unconscionable, but just think,...

Now steps onto the stage of world history a man apparently quite conscious that the Supreme Law of the United States prevents him from being president of the United States. For why else would anyone hire lawyers and expend millions of dollars to avoid producing a $12.50 birth certificate to show eligibility under the Constitution? 'Midst the rhythmic chants of a delirious, sycophantic media, inaugural splendor will substitute for simple proof that the United States of America will have a constitutionally legitimate president. If Obama is not eligible, legally, the United States of America will have no president. A usurper...

At approximately 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2008, I was in the Clerk of Court's office in the Federal Courthouse in Philadelphia doing part of my job as a legal writer and reading the civil cases which had been filed that day. (Snip) After the man left, the clerk told me that I should probably take a look at the complaint. (Snip) You filed a new lawsuit last week. Tell me about it. This lawsuit is an interpleader action, and the reason we went this way is because an interpleader action will shift the burden of proof to Barack...

Will the 3rd time be the Charm in Challenging Obama's Eligibility? Like the Energizer Bunny, the cases challenging Obama's eligibility are still going strong. There have been a ton of lawsuits challenging Obama's right to take office with fellow Democrat Philip Berg taking the lead. To date Berg has filed several injuctions, all of which have been denied except his original compliant that is scheduled to be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court on January 9th, 2009. From WND -- "I know that Mr. Obama is not a constitutionally qualified natural born citizen and is ineligible to assume the office...

That provision in the constitution which requires that the president shall be a native-born citizen (unless he were a citizen of the United States when the constitution was adopted,) is a happy means of security against foreign influence, which, whereever it is capable of being exerted, is to he dreaded more than the plague. The admission of foreigners into our councils, consequently, cannot be too much guarded against; their total exclusion from a station to which foreign nations have been accustomed to, attach ideas of sovereign power, sacredness of character, and hereditary right, is a measure of the most consummate...

One of the original legal challenges to President-elect Barack Obama's eligibility for office to reach the U.S. Supreme Court now has been scheduled for a conference, a meeting at which the justices discuss its merits and whether to step into the fray. Online schedules posted by the court show the case brought by attorney Philip J. Berg is set for a conference Jan. 9. The case is one among several that already have reached the U.S. Supreme Court and address the issue of Obama's eligibility to occupy the Oval Office under the U.S. Constitution's requirement that presidents be "natural born"...

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court has turned down another challenge to Barack Obama's eligibility to serve president because of his citizenship. The appeal by Cort Wrotnowski of Greenwich, Conn., was denied Monday without comment. Wrotnowski argued that Obama was a British subject at birth and therefore cannot meet the requirement for becoming president. He wanted the high court to halt presidential electors from meeting to formally elect Obama as president.

The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected a second challenge to the presidency of Barack Obama, announcing today it denied an application for a stay or an injunction in a case from Connecticut. The case brought by Cort Wrotnowski had been distributed for review by the court and apparently was considered during a conference of the justices Friday. It met the same fate as an earlier case brought by Leo Donofrio and essentially challenged Obama on the same issue: allegations that dual citizenship based on a father who was a British subject and a mother who was an American minor disqualified...

QUEENSBURY — A local man’s challenge of President-elect Barack Obama’s citizenship has been garnering national attention, if not credibility. Robert Schulz of Queensbury is the founder and chairman of We The People, a group dedicated to upholding strict adherence to the state and U.S. constitutions. He says there’s compelling evidence that Obama was born in Kenya, not on U.S. soil, which he contends would make him ineligible to become president. On Thursday, Schulz mailed letters to all members of the Electoral College, asking them to delay the Dec. 15 official balloting until the citizenship questions are cleared up. "We really...
