I found this highly amusing last night...
JOHN KERRY SAID - "You don't send troops to war without the body armor that they need.
I've met kids in Ohio, parents in Wisconsin places, Iowa, where they're going out on the Internet to get the state-of-the-art body gear to send to their kids. Some of them got them for a birthday present.
I think that's wrong. Humvees -- 10,000 out of 12,000 Humvees that are over there aren't armored. And you go visit some of those kids in the hospitals today who were maimed because they don't have the armament."
That's why you should've voted for the $87 billion supplemental! oh wait... you did... before you didn't... or something like that... ugh... John Kerry makes me sick.
ALSO, as a 19 year old college student who seems to be targeted by the mainstream media, and now even non-conventional ways of attracting young voters to go liberal (ie MTV, rock groups, student orgs, etc., etc.) I can say that I am surprised at how well the student body of my University (University of Houston) isn't reacting as strongly towards Kerry as I thought. I honestly thought it would be very difficult to be a Bush supporter in a college system, but to my surprise, most people I associate with or encounter either favor Bush or are undecided... There ARE a lot of Kerry people, but FAR less than Bush or what I expected (probably a 2.5 to 1 ratio for my friends, but thats just people like me, so who knows if its at all accurate throughout the entire school)... I also truly believe most older people are totally ignoring my age bracket due to our history of low voter turn out... I don't think that will be the case this year... Kinda scares me, but I know one thing for sure, I'm not changing my position or my core beliefs because of some rock band or a music television station using scare tactics to bring voters out on election day.
Thats my 2 cents
Notre Dame student standing right by you. Although we were hoping Bush would maybe mention that right waya when Sen. Kerry brought up the armor. I was upset that he wasn't quick on his feet.
Well, I am now much more encouraged about the MTV aged crowd now. Can you make some disciples, while you're at it?
And you give me the faith to believe in the future. Carry on and do well.
Bush should have hammered on Kerry's record of defense cuts. It was open season - Kerry continually advocated defense/intelligent cuts.
oh, I have plenty of disciples... we sit around in the lobby everyday at the music building arguing over politics... It's fun for a while and then just gets nasty... lots and lots of strong willed people here... and consequently lots of "W '04" bumper stickers! :-)
Good post!
Im tired already from hearing about how "poorly Bush did" last night esp from people at National Review who should know better. Listen. He did great. He responded carefully and naturally. Kerry came across more human, (Bush should wear a burgundy tie next time,) but when you listened to what he said...well I guarantee there is enough fodder there for Bush to use for the next several weeks.
The more the points made during the debate are reviewed the more you will realize that Bush won. If you doubt this...then listen to what the candidates say today. Bush will clean up from the nonsense Kerry tried to feed us last night.

agreed. SO WHAT if Kerry looked better or talked better than Bush (which I don't believe but some are crediting to Kerry as a "win") His substance was so whack that it doesnt even matter... I'll be honest, I was a little scared last night, but not so much now... We're still fine and getting stronger!
My daughter (21 yr. old college student) agrees with you. She looked past Pres. Bush's awkwardness, and noted that he's right on the issues, and is the man to lead our war and homeland security efforts.
She saw Kerry's performance as the result of acting class, another flip-flop, in a sense. Lots of "sound and fury, signifying nothing."
I'm glad you're out there, and I hope you're a good recruiter!
I didn't see it, but I heard the first 45 minutes or so on NPR.
Kerry came across as a man making debating points. Bush came across as a man speaking the truth.
I guess that's just what happens when you don't spend the day in the spa, relaxing and getting a manicure, as opposed to being out with hurricane victims the day of the debate...
Kerry, like most liberals is relying on voter ignorance and inability to pay attention. It's all they can rely on.

Bush built the container or the house to destroy Kerry.... Kerry is running water---- Bush let him run freely as he prepared the frames of the container to keep the aqueous behavior of Kerry... the house was successfully built...it is ugly and dirty work, that is why Bush worked so hard and let Kerry run.
The container was built on three key principles:
1. Kerry is a flip-flop politician
2. Kerry is a globalist proUN proWorld Court
3. Kerry is anti/weak on defense and poor for morale
Bush contained and framed these key "currents" of this liquid chameleon Kerry. Bush can now beat the hell out of Kerry within the house in which Bush framed. Kerry can't move. The only way for Kerry to escape is by exploding the frame, which will destroy his campaign... he'll have to embrace these "currents"....
Bush has won, he was winning the debates... not the debate.
And you won't hear this until that dark mousy curly haired Krauthammer speaks on Fox... then all the news hacks will pick it up.... and I don't get paid for this... those stupid losers in the beltway press get all the doe.
Oh, because I can't spell

This is the first after debate poll, and I think it tells everything:
***Demonstrated he is tough enough for the job Bush 54/ Kerry 37 ***Likable Bush 48/Kerry 41 ***Believable Bush 48 / Kerry 45 ***Agreed with you more on the issues you care about Bush 49/ Kerry 46 ***Had a good understanding of the issues 41/41 ***Expressed himself more clearly Bush 32/Kerry 60
On Iraq: Before Debate: 54 said the president would do a better job handling Iraq than Kerry (40)
After: 54/43

A parent of a son now in Iraq just called into Laura Ingraham's show about this very thing.
This parent said that early on, there were delays in getting the body armor, because the manufacturer couldn't get enough made, so yes, people were going on the internet trying to get some, but then the armor manufacturer came through.
So this is another lie of Kerry's.
Check out the John F. Kerry Timeline.

My 15 & 16 year old daughters thought Bush won last night and were suprised when we started listening to the spin afterwards. I turned it off and told them to think for themselves. This morning...they still thought Bush "rocked". The future is bright people!!!
