How convenient that a movie producer can "prove" that Jesus wasn't resurrected.

Oh yes. But there will be people who cite him for years as proof...

I wonder if James Cameron would be audacious enough to prove that Muhammed didn't ascend directly to Heaven.

Cameron and Jacobovici claim to have amassed evidence through DNA tests

DNA tests could prove that the remains of the people in the coffins are related to each other. It doesn't prove anything re whether or not this is THE Jesus of Nazareth and his family.

Smells like a 1st Century Roman disinformation op to me.

Amazing how James Cameron can do what no one in the first century could do, even though you know, those people were THERE at the time and everything, and many had every incentive to find Jesus' body and stamp out that pesky "Christian problem."

So a large number of followers that were witness to all of that history opted to give up their lives and die horribly for spreading the story that there was a man from heaven who was the Son of God and forgave sins... a guy, who according to this movie, lived out a quiet life in the suburbs with a wife a kids? Yeah, that makes more sense.

*** It took 20 years for experts to decipher the names on the ten tombs.***

Whazza matta? Couldn't they read Hebrew? 20 years? Common!

These fools are looking in the wrong place:

They need to check Jesus' tombs in India:
http://www.tombofjesus.com/home.htm

And Japan:
http://www.thiaoouba.com/tomb.htm

But I suppose some vague DNA dating pretending to be able to decipher how old the bones are will do. (rolling eyes)

Wow. Names that aren't really consistent (several added), burial methods not consistent, and locations not consistent. What more indisputable proof could one ask for?

For the record, I think that Jesus' message of forgiveness and salvation through God is more of a cornerstone of Christian faith than whether he was physically ressurected or not. Even so, this is very weird.

There was already a movie done about this. I cannot remember the title, it was an Israeli-Italian movie where a tomb was found and they found a body in it.

>> Producer Cameron and his director, Simcha Jacobovici, make the starting claim that Jesus wasn't resurrected

Ring... Ring... Ring...

JC: Hello.
LAB: Hello, is this Mr. Cameron?
JC: Yes, this is he.
LAB: Mr. Cameron, we're terribly sorry. Do you recall
the lab report we sent you regarding the DNA sample?
JC: Yes.
LAB: Well, as it turns out, we had a clerical error in
the lab and we inadvertently gave your the results
from a family in a neighboring village.

CD: "Near, Far, where ever you are I believe that the heart
     does go on...."

JC: My God, what have I done ?!!!

CD: "You are safe in my heart, and my heart will go on..."

And he probably thinks he's the first person ever to have come up with this brilliant explanation! What a maroon.

Attacking Christianity is easy no one will kill you and burn your houses down.

If this man and his pitifully partner had any real stones let them raise doubt that Muhammed didn't ascend directly to Heaven.

This would take real guts in that part of the world they could loose their lives and and the lives of their families.

But like I said it does not take any stones to attack Christ.
