The great and powerful Oz has spoken, 'negotiation' time is over, time for you to ditch your silly religious beliefs and do what we say.
Obama chief of staff: No more compromise, contraceptive rule is done deal
Despite renewed statements of concern by Catholic leaders, the Obama administration is done negotiating and will finalize its plan requiring insurance companies to provide free contraception to women working and studying at religious institutions, President Obama's chief of staff said Sunday.
Jacob Lew told "Fox News Sunday" that the compromise offered last week to address objections by the Catholic Church is clear and consistent with the president's "very deep belief that a woman has a right to all forms of preventive health care, including contraception."
"We have set out our policy," Lew said. "We are going to finalize it in the final rules, but I think what the president announced on Friday is a balanced approach that meets the concerns raised both in terms of access to health care and in terms of protecting religious liberties, and we think that's the right approach."
For all you Catholic liberals out there, this is how the Marxists you elected do 'dialogue.' I would say I told you so but...actually...
I told you so.
The only, ONLY answer is the complete destruction of the mandate and Obamacare. There is no other way.

This approach from Øbongo & co is so completely insane I had to look to see if it was one of your satires. Sadly, this one is real.

"We are going to finalize it in the final rules, but I think what the president announced on Friday is a balanced approach that meets the concerns raised both in terms of access to health care and in terms of protecting religious liberties, and we think that's the right approach."Of particular note, Obama has framed the argument as associated with protecting religious 'liberties', not 'rights'.
In Obama's thinking, the people are allowed to worship somebody other than him only because he allows that 'liberty'.

Church going Catholics (practicing) voted as a majority against the Marxist.
And the non-practicing Catholics don’t care what he does, as they are Catholic in name only.

We must think ahead and anticipate the tactics our opponents are inevitably going to use and thereby be able to put the heat on them rather than always scrambling to defend our positions. Well said!
I think the obama admn has some internal polling that leads them to believe they can win this fight and that's why they stopped backtracking. Somehow the argument has to be moved away from a discussion about the RCC and contraception and back to State interference in religious institutions. A majority of Evangelical Christians have been opposed to obama from the get go so it's really not going to matter what we say.

I stand corrected (regretably). I thought perhaps such smart people would wise up. I hate to think they(the Jews) will still not get it when BO’s mussie relatives load them on cattle cars again.

I guess you didnt know, Catholic Charities is not that Catholic. I know they are pretty liberal, but if they are a part of your church your leadership should have some say in what they do.
I knew someone who was related to senior leadership, and a lot of them are pretty anti-Catholic.
If they are so "anti" why do they get away with using the name? It's a real lame argument to say that someone in your church "really isn't a member" when they do things that are wrong. We have the same problem with liberal Baptists and liberal Non-Denominational Christians. Typically they leave because they can't stand the heat.

Gloat, if it makes you feel good. Unfortunately, too many Catholics are of the Kennedy/Pelosi variety.

Newsflash to all the Catholics who voted for this asshole in 08: Dont worry; we evangelicals who didnt vote for him, because we we knew what/who he was/is, will fight your fight and try to clean up the mess you helped create. For the record there were quite a few of us Catholics shouting against this @$$ hat right from the start.
There needs to be a way to convince the Jewish population of the democRat disdain for them.

I am not sure if any of the leadership is Catholic. The ones I know about weren’t.
To: NYer
As a non-Catholic with Catholic friends and a respect
for the institution I have mixed emotions. The church
hierarchy has been in bed with liberals on various is-
sues in the past and will again be in the future so
they might be getting a little of what they deserve.
On the other hand, and more importantly, we have a
perfect example of the government acting as a wedge
between a church organization and its’ members.
That is scary and unconstitutional IMO...not good
news for anybody.
It is bothersome that so many Catholics seem to
support Obama’s so-called compromise. They miss
the point. I understand that many Catholics don’t
follow all church tenets. That is fine. But this
particular issue goes beyond the relationship be-
tween a person and his/her church. It is pure
governmental interference and it has to be resisted
whether or not one believes in cheap or free birth
control pills, abortions, or whatever.
As usual our problem is that it takes thought and
analytical skills to think like a conservative
while the opposition operates on emotion and BS
skills.

And then be honest along with being logical!
50 percent of Catholics (Catholics make up about 22 percent of the U.S. population.) approve of his presidency, down from 67 percent in his first six months in office.
DOWN 17 POINTS
among non-Catholic Christians, who make up 55 percent of the U.S. population, had fallen from 58 percent to 43 percent.
DOWN 15 POINTS
Mormon respondents, who represent about two percent of U.S. adults, fell from 43 percent to 26 percent
About 78 percent of Muslim respondents approved of the Obama presidency, down eight percentage points from when the question was first asked. (86)
DOWN 8 POINTS
atheists, agnostics, and members of other non-Christian religions, who comprise about 13 percent of the U.S. population -- While about 75 percent of these respondents approved of President Obama at the start of his term, their approval declined to about 64 percent.
DOWN 11 POINTS
Jews were the religious group third likeliest to approve of President Obama, giving him 61 percent approval. This too is a decline: in January-June 2009, their approval rating of the president was 77 percent.
DOWN 16 POINTS
Overall, 48 percent of Americans approve of President Obamas job, down from 63 percent in the first months of his presidency. Gallup claims that its survey of over 276,000 adults claims an overall margin of error of plus or minus one percent.

The answer to anyone who talks about the surplus population is to ask him, whether he is part of the surplus population; or if not, how he knows he is not. [1925]
