Dar Al-Hijrah Hosts Fundraiser For “Virginia Jihad” Cell Member; U.S. Muslim Brotherhood Leader Featured Speaker

(This Islamic Center in Falls Church, VA is a well-known hub for Jihadis both here in the US as well as those from abroad. Spiritual home of the Fort Hood shooter and his "Spiritual Advisor, Anwar al-Awlaki, now head of Al Qaeda in Yemen.)

Dar Al-Hijrah is tightly tied to the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood. According to the Dar Al-Hijra web site, four of the nine board members must include the current Secretary General of Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the current President of Muslim Arab Youth Association (MAYA), the current General Manager of North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) , and the current President of Muslim American Society (MAS). (Both MAYA and NAIT are components of ISNA.) In 2004, the Washington Post reported on the ties between Dar Al-Hijra and the MAS, a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood group close to the Egyptian organization. Anwar al-Awlaki, the radical imam with whom the Fort Hood shooter had been in contact, had been Imam of Dar Al-Hijrah to prior to 911 and in July 2005 Shaker Elsayed, the former secretary-general of the MAS was appointed as the Dar Al Hijrah imam. The former imam left to become the executive director of the Fiqh Council of North America, affiliated with ISNA.

(Other)Individuals convicted/indicted in terrorism-related cases that have been known to have attended Dar Al-Hijrah include:
Abdurrahman Alamoudi, (convicted in plot assassinate Crown Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia)
Mousa Abu Marzook (indicted Hamas political leader)
Ismail Elbarasse (convicted of obstruction of justice in Hamas financing case)
Abdelhaleem Ashqar (convicted of obstruction of justice in Hamas financing case)
Randall “Ismail” Royer (convicted member of the Virginia Jihad Network)
Ahmed Omar Abu Ali (al-Qaida operative convicted of plotting to assassinate President Bush)
Two of the 9/11 hijackers, Nawaf al-Hazmi and Hani Hanjour were also known to have attended Dar Al-Hijrah.

Something not right? Go with your gut. Report it.

Yes , but remember they will also turn on each other once that war is heated up...Russia is simply using the muslim nations as pawns in their hands....Could it be the cold war revived and these conflicts the USA is having with muslims is really a proxy war with Russia? Russia's fingerprints are all over Irans military arsenall syria’s, Hebollah etc.......While Putin gets ready to make his made dash to the south. He wants those oil fields and the use of the people more than Iran ever thought of....in fact while we are all busy focused on the ME he's hanging out in subs off our coastline....chumming with Chavaz and Cuba....making deals left and right...keep watch...Putin will move when people least expect and are otherwise occupied.

********************************
THIS post is the most recent response to post #30:

“Noam Chomsky !!!!!”
“Are you serious? He has done a turn-about on the Left?”

That was the take by certain journalists, but after having read Chomsky’s remarks myself, I see now that they were taken completely, and I mean COMPLETELY, out of context. He was actually comparing the rise of the TeaParty movement to the rise of Hitler, not the opposite as some of these journalists reported. The article I first read was here on FR, but I can’t locate it now. When I got your ping, I looked up Chomsky to get the exact text and about had an attack. Whoever it was that wrote it up as a defense of Palin and the Tea Party was nutz!

This is what they based their mistaken delight that Chomsky criticized obama and told people to pay more attention to the tea parties:
http://www.veteranstoday.com/2010/04/17/chomsky-on-tea-party-dark-clouds-of-fascism-gathering/

Appearing in Madison,Wisconsin last week, Chomsky, who frequently observes of America that there is a permanent mass base for fascism, warned about the appeal of the Tea Party, though he shares many of their negative sentiments on the U.S. government.

“I’m just old enough to have heard a number of Hitler’s speeches on the radio,” he said, “and I have a memory of the texture and the tone of the cheering mobs, and I have the dread sense of the dark clouds of fascism gathering” here at home.
******************************
But THIS is what he meant::
http://www.tehrantimes.com/index_View.asp?code=218045

“It is very similar to late Weimar Germany,” Chomsky told me when I called him at his office in Cambridge, Mass. “The parallels are striking. There was also tremendous disillusionment with the parliamentary system. The most striking fact about Weimar was not that the Nazis managed to destroy the Social Democrats and the Communists but that the traditional parties, the Conservative and Liberal parties, were hated and disappeared. It left a vacuum which the Nazis very cleverly and intelligently managed to take over.”

“The United States is extremely lucky that no honest, charismatic figure has arisen,” Chomsky went on. “Every charismatic figure is such an obvious crook that he destroys himself, like McCarthy or Nixon or the evangelist preachers. If somebody comes along who is charismatic and honest this country is in real trouble because of the frustration, disillusionment, the justified anger and the absence of any coherent response. What are people supposed to think if someone says ‘I have got an answer, we have an enemy’? There it was the Jews. Here it will be the illegal immigrants and the blacks. We will be told that white males are a persecuted minority. We will be told we have to defend ourselves and the honor of the nation. Military force will be exalted. People will be beaten up. This could become an overwhelming force. And if it happens it will be more dangerous than Germany. The United States is the world power. Germany was powerful but had more powerful antagonists. I don’t think all this is very far away. If the polls are accurate it is not the Republicans but the right-wing Republicans, the crazed Republicans, who will sweep the next election.”

“I have never seen anything like this in my lifetime,” Chomsky added. “I am old enough to remember the 1930s. My whole family was unemployed. There were far more desperate conditions than today. But it was hopeful. People had hope. The CIO was organizing. No one wants to say it anymore but the Communist Party was the spearhead for labor and civil rights organizing. Even things like giving my unemployed seamstress aunt a week in the country. It was a life. There is nothing like that now. The mood of the country is frightening. The level of anger, frustration and hatred of institutions is not organized in a constructive way. It is going off into self-destructive fantasies.”

“I listen to talk radio,” Chomsky said. “I don’t want to hear Rush Limbaugh. I want to hear the people calling in. They are like (suicide pilot) Joe Stack. What is happening to me? I have done all the right things. I am a God-fearing Christian. I work hard for my family. I have a gun. I believe in the values of the country and my life is collapsing.”
**********************************

He states in other articles that IF a right wing charismatic leader, i.e., Sarah Palin, was to take over, we would have another Nazi Germany.
HE is insanely left wing.
I thought when I first read the article it didn’t smell quite right. I should have gone with my instincts and checked further.

Does Leftist Dogma Contribute to Military Suicides?

The Problem:

Mar 1, 2010 ... During the month of January, more soldiers committed suicide (24) than were killed by enemy fire in Afghanistan and Iraq combined
swampland.blogs.time.com/2010/03/01/military-suici

Every day, five U.S. soldiers try to kill themselves. Before the Iraq war began, that figure was less than one suicide attempt a day.
www.cnn.com/2008/US/02/01/military.suicides/index

The Reason:

Not as badly as civilians, but our officers are indoctrinated by leftist professors. We now have a Commander in Chief at war with people who cling to their guns and religion. Leftist dogma put in practice is not working well, is it?

Dad links son’s suicide to ‘The God Delusion’
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/2144477/posts

A New York man is linking the suicide of his 22-year-old son, a military veteran who had bright prospects in college, to the anti-Christian book “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins after a college professor challenged the son to read it.

“Three people told us he had taken a biology class and was doing well in it, but other students and the professor were really challenging my son, his faith. They didn’t like him as a Republican, as a Christian, and as a conservative who believed in intelligent design,” the grief-stricken father, Keith Kilgore, told WND about his son, Jesse.

“This professor either assigned him to read or challenged him to read a book, ‘The God Delusion,’ by Richard Dawkins,” he said.

The military is also neglected in funding. Leftist funding priorities are another contributing factor. But a ragged Christian in chains can brave lions in the arena. A ragged Christian can sustain immense torture, offering up pain as a special prayer sacrifice. I think we need MORE spiritual faith in the military — not less.

Just for the record.

Carol Browner, former Clinton administration EPA head and current “Obama White House climate czar, instructed auto industry execs “to put nothing in writing, ever” regarding secret negotiations she orchestrated regarding a deal to increase federal Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards. Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-WI, is demanding a congressional investigation of Browner’s conduct in the CAFE talks, saying in a letter to Rep. Henry Waxman, D-CA, that Browner “intended to leave little or no documentation of the deliberations that lead to stringent new CAFE standards.”

“Doesn’t ANYBODY keep up with stuff that is going on?”

Hahahaha! FRiend, you are looking at other peoples’ glasses as being half empty rather than half full. Yes, you have earned a glassful of precious, timely truth. Isn’t that the purpose of this forum? We are waging a war of Truth vs. Deception.

You know who to trust now, and you are on a roll. Others are working hard too — very hard. But they don’t know who to trust. So they have to sift through manure. That, BTW, includes Matt Drudge. He’s excellent, but no one can out-compete the greater whole in all areas — not even Drudge.

Thomas Sowell: “No one is capable of knowing 1% of everything anymore.”

I didn’t give you kudos to make you feel bad. All veteran FReepers learn in time how to get an edge over the pros in rapid info gathering — but only in their particular spheres. We each are acquiring a niche and need to recognize each others’ strengths.

That’s why Rush has his “I told you so” moments — he’s trying to build trust and remind people about his particular advantages over the talking heads and leftist elites.

Audit - half of AZ busiinesses have illegal employees

Arizona April 24 - An audit done by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents shows more than half of Arizona businesses have illegal immigrants on their payroll.

An Immigration Department spokesperson says 43 out of the 84 companies screened in audits have been sent violation notices about suspected illegal employees.

Immigration Counters

Snip: Across the nation, District Attorneys routinely cut plea bargains with illegals caught in crimes who aren't deported or incarcerated, only to repeat their crimes in the future. If they agree to be deported (many times agreeing to self-deportation), they often return to the U.S. in short order and are emboldened against our laws and courts. 80% on deportation orders have not been deported.

Obama wants you to prove to the government that you have health car, but not that you're a citizen

A good point, made by a Freeper.

Obama called Arizona’s new illegal immigration legislation “misguided” and suggested that it may violate civil rights laws. Yet, per the health care bill Obama signed into law, we all will have to report to the government via our tax returns what health coverage we have.

So rounding up illegal immigrants, who are here in contradiction with our laws, is anathema to Obama and not the appropriate function of government. But forcing citizens to report the status of their health care coverage is appropriate, and a fitting role for government.

I think someone has their priorities backward. How about the federal government allow us to worry about our health insurance coverage while they focus on doing their jobs with regard to illegal immigration?

Well, we all know why Bo opposes Arizona's new legislation, he needs them to keep his job in 2012.... though that legislation basically states they want the laws already in force to be enforced, which indicates it is actually every ones civil rights are being violated because they are not enforced. I support Arizona’s decision to do this. Indeed it got BO’s attention ...hahahahaha!..Shook him up too!

As for reporting if or not one has insurance....this is all about determining how much they can anticipate will be going into the gov. coffers.....numbers game. Certainly not about us...we're just the cash cow.

By the time Atta and Shehhi returned to Virginia Beach from their travels in Georgia, Hazmi and Hanjour had also arrived in Virginia, in Falls Church. They made their way to a large mosque there, the Dar al Hijra mosque, sometime in early April.73

As we mentioned earlier, one of the imams at this mosque was the same Anwar Aulaqi with whom Hazmi had spent time at the Rabat mosque in San Diego. Aulaqi had moved to Virginia in January 2001. He remembers Hazmi from San Diego but has denied having any contact with Hazmi or Hanjour in Virginia.74

At the Dar al Hijra mosque, Hazmi and Hanjour met a Jordanian named Eyad al Rababah. Rababah says he had gone to the mosque to speak to the imam, Aulaqi, about finding work. At the conclusion of services, which normally had 400 to 500 attendees, Rababah says he happened to meet Hazmi and Hanjour. They were looking for an apartment; Rababah referred them to a friend who had one to rent. Hazmi and Hanjour moved into the apartment, which was in Alexandria.75

Jamaat ul-Fuqra
Formation
Jamaat ul-Fuqra (JF) or “community of the impoverished”, a terrorist outfit operating in Pakistan and North America, was formed by a Pakistani cleric, Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, in New York in 1980, on his first visit to the US. Mubarak Gilani’s intention in forming the outfit was to ‘purify’ Islam through violence.

Ideology, Leadership and Structure
The JF, in its early phase, sought to counter what is perceived as excessive Western influence on Islam. It also concluded that violence was a significant aspect in its quest to purify Islam. In its ideological moorings, the Fuqra regards as enemies of Islam all those who do not follow the tenets of Islam as laid out in the Koran, including those Muslims who they consider as heretics as well as non-Muslims. One of Gilani’s works published by the Quranic Open University in the US and seized in a 1991-investigation instructed his cadres that their foremost duty was to wage Jehad against the ‘oppressors of Muslims’. Members of the group are described as Islamist extremists with much hatred toward their ‘enemies’.

The JF is loosely structured with certain elements working openly through social service organisations to recruit members, raise money, organise activities and carry out propaganda. Individuals selected to live on JF premises agree to abide by the law and discipline of the Jamaat ul-Fuqra. Investigations by the Colorado Attorney General’s Office in the 1980s indicated that the JF was composed of approximately 30 different ‘Jamaats’ or communities, more or less mobile in nature. Most of these ‘Jamaats’ are reportedly existent even today along with what investigators discerned to be several covert paramilitary training compounds, one of which had been located in a mountainous area near Buena Vista, Colorado prior to the Colorado prosecutions in the mid-1990s.

Within 10 years of its formation, Fuqra’s communes in the US attracted many Muslim converts-including some of those recruited in prisons. The JF is said to comprise of some 1,000 to 3,000 members in the US. Secrecy is the hallmark of the outfit and cadres are reportedly well versed in the use of aliases. The Fuqra’s structure is well concealed behind front outfits and consists of a network of safe houses and cells. Furthermore, the JF founder as well as cadres consistently maintain that it does not exist. JF members occasionally travel abroad for ‘paramilitary and survivalist training’ under Gilani’s supervision.

Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, who also calls himself the sixth Sultan Ul Faqr, is the chief of JF.

Jamaat ul-Fuqra is headquartered in Hancock, New York.

Areas of Activity and Influence
Although Gilani, the reclusive chief of Fuqra resides in Lahore, Pakistan, most JF cells are located in North America. Fuqra members have purchased isolated rural properties in North America to live as a community, practice their faith, and insulate themselves from Western culture. The group has set up and funded rural communes that the US authorities allege are linked to murder, bombings and other felonies throughout the US and Canada. Currently, there are half a dozen Fuqra residential compounds in rural hamlets across the US sheltering hundreds of cadres, some of who have reportedly trained in the use of weapons and explosives in Pakistan.

Muslims of the Americas, a tax-exempt group established in the US in 1980 by Gilani, operates communes of primarily black, American-born Muslims in many states in the US, including in Binghamton in New York, Badger in California, York in South Carolina and Red House in Virginia. JF is reportedly linked through court documents to the Muslims of Americas. There is also a road in the name of Sheikh Gilani in the vicinity of Virginia. The cult houses between 100 and 200 people, many of them women and children in about 20 huge trailers. There is also a Virginia newspaper, the Islamic Post, founded by Sheikh Gilani.

One of the nicest bosses I had lived in Oakland, CA. He's got to be seriously up in age now. IMHO gangs are an outrage in America. They are truly America's homegrown and illegal-alien terrorists (not that the corrupt media would or could see what's right in front of their eyes).

Shhhhhhh, the media might be alarmed that tea party supporters post here. They sure as hell would never print articles detailing what you've posted here - they just might offend people who want to kill Westerners. (shaking head and believing journalism is no longer taught or required for media writers / anchors).

I print articles from the internet and email and snail mail them to people who thank me for letting them know what is REALLY happening in the nation and the world. If they counted on the MSM, they'd never know what they need to know in today's world about what's going on and what potential kinds of danger are around them.

To my mind, there have been deals going down between illegals and the high and mighty for quite a long time. Don’t think for a second that some of these pols don’t have nice bank accounts for looking the other way.
Look what happened to Ramos and Campeon for trying to stop a DRUG SMUGGLER.
It isn’t all about hispanics as they love to claim.
What truly bothers me is that “illegals” are ALSO many, many muslims coming in over ALL of our borders, but hardly anyone ever mentions it except people like us.
Many of them come into South America and make their way north. They assume hispanic names and come right through with them. They can pay very well.
You would think even the Hispanics would want that to stop.

I lived in Lancaster Pa. for a time...over the years the Latino/Mexican population grew rapidly until the city was divided between King Street, heart of the city....anything south of it was not a place to go. It indeed became the Mexico/of Lancaster. The police “contained” the gangs pretty much in that area with a few from time to time who went outside their area...but it was a divided community. Don’t know how it is now but that was about ten years ago.

Yep! .... I suspect all borders are going to get hotter as the immigration issues move up in Washington...mad rush to our borders....which is one of the reasons I liked what Arizona did. The illegals don't know what state might follow this next, and realize now it can be a state issue and not just BO throwing his weight around in Washington. That really was a gutsy move Arizona made. I shared with my friend in Cal. now more will be going into Cal. and Texas.

“Look what happened to Ramos and Campeon for trying to stop a DRUG SMUGGLER.”

That was largely due to the ACLU or some legal group if I remember correctly. They are part of a very evil coalition.

Not sure how much of this you want to read. I start naming off the categories of our enemies, thinking ‘out loud’.

The Master Plan, in my opinion, is to reduce the ‘surplus’ population. One faction of our enemies is largely misanthropic. They already have plenty of money and easy ways of increasing those profits. What they want now is more available real estate. We are a nuisance. Our prosperity is a hassle for them, and it makes us less submissive.

Another faction fanies itself as the merry men and women of Sherwood Forest. They want to steal from the rich, give to the poor, and merrily enjoy the entire process. These people are useful idiots for the grim misanthropes.

Then there are the nature worshipers and pagans, another group of useful idiots.

Lastly, there are the minority rights activists who are openly at war with “angry old white guys”.

I think the misanthropes are the ring leaders. They have access to old money and have gotten together in multi-generational group-think off-and-on since the faded glory of ancient Athens. Their useful idiots come and go.

So, now we have the Immigration Fight. That is a clear method for our Fifth Column [the Left], to bring enemies inside our weakened Freedom Fortress. Terrorists can slide in as well as criminals with invisible pasts.
