A battle over religion is brewing in central Indiana after a public school wanted second graders to sing a song declaring, “Allah is God.” The phrase was removed just before the performance after a national conservative group launched a protest.
The principal of Lantern Road Elementary School in Fishers, IN, said they were trying to teach inclusiveness through their holiday production. It included references to Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Las Posadas and Kwanzaa. However, no other deity, other than Allah, was referenced in the show.
“It went off…without a hitch,” Danielle Thompson told the Indianapolis Star. “Several families thought it was a nice program.” But others did not – especially David Hogan. His daughter came home with a copy of the lyrics just days before the production. Hogan, a Christian, told the American Family Association, a conservative advocacy group, that he was deeply concerned to learn that his daughter had been singing, “Allah is God.”
Here’s what the children were assigned to sing:
“Allah is God, we recall at dawn,
Praying ‘til night during Ramadan
At this joyful time we pray happiness for you,
Allah be with you all your life through.”

Hizb ut-Tahrir is an international organization that according to a former member Ed Husain, Hizb ut-Tahrir calls for an "expansionist, violent, totalitarian Islamist state." According to BBC and the Daily Telegraph, Hizb ut-Tahrir has been linked to calls for killing Jews and Hindus, radicalizing individuals to become suicide bombers, and according to the New Statesman has been linked to high-level terrorists.
Taliban warn clerics on issuing edicts against suicide bombers
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Monday urged clerics to refrain from issuing edicts against suicide bombing without lending an ear to the “jihadi point of view”.

The Obama administration says these bombings have nothing to do with religion. It’s purely coincidental that the perps preach severe Islam. The attacks are merely meant to destabilize governments.
Religious fanatics delight in killing and torturing the imperfect and impure. It’s not about justice or redemption. The fanatic’s joy lies in the deed itself, in the god-like thrill of inflicting pain. Religious butchers really love their work.
When we lie and deny that religion has anything to do with Islamist terrorism, we’re not doing Muslims a favor. We empower the worst elements in the Islamic world.
But we don’t want to hurt the feelings of fanatics. So we insist that Maj. Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood avenger for Allah, was upset. And the deeds of Gitmo inmates had nothing to do with religion (although we rush to pander to their beliefs). Al Qaeda and the Taliban just want political power. And so on.
But men don’t rush to die to achieve political power they won’t live to exercise. The current epidemic of massacres is about faith gone homicidal. It’s about uncompromising hatred in Allah’s name, a hatred unappeasable on this earth.

It’s a pretty sad state of affairs when you have to use terrorists as props for job creation at an Illinois prison.
IMHO, the next hit will be just like the last - it will happen without warning. All we can do is to be ready to defend ourselves and our families.

A terrorist attack on London was averted because two beat patrol officers stopped a man who was acting suspiciously while filming with a mobile phone, police claimed yesterday.
The Algerian man said that he was a tourist, but when his phone was examined it yielded 90 minutes of footage of stations, security cameras and shopping centres.
Police took the unprecedented step of releasing the “hostile reconnaissance” video to counter criticism that they are using anti-terrorism powers to question tourists and photographers. “I’d much rather justify what we did do in stopping someone than having to justify why we didn’t do it against the backdrop of a burning building and a terrorist atrocity,” Detective Superintendent Chris Greany, of City of London Police, said.

Store operator in trouble over jihad comments (Tennessee)

That was the question U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Guyton faced Monday as federal prosecutors Jeff Theodore and Will Mackie pushed for the detention pending trial of Hazam Ali Ahmed.
The 35-year-old Ahmed was charged with being a felon in possession of firearms after authorities last week found two guns inside the Central Convenience Store on Keith Avenue that he operated. However, testimony at Monday's hearing shows Ahmed has been on the radar screen of the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force since at least January 2006.
FBI Agent Mark D. Murphy testified that an informant clandestinely recorded chats with Ahmed in early 2006 during which Ahmed allegedly tried to recruit the informant into the terrorist network al-Qaeda. "He referred to jihad," Murphy said of Ahmed. "He asked the confidential source if he would be interested in joining jihad. He stated that he was connected to al- Qaeda, that he had worked for them for several years. He wanted the informant to join al-Qaeda. "
