I've been looking for an updated version of the book In Search of the Trojan War.

Looks like the last Michael Wood publication is from 1998.

Can anyone recommend a newer book about the Trojan War that leaves out the silly New Age archeology treatment?

Hey, why do you think they are *called* Hittites? Laz gets around, and always makes quite an impression. One Precolumbian group even renamed itself the Laztec Empire, until of course it was conquered by Cortez.
