Lately, we’ve heard “Liberalism” described as a religion, if not a full on cult, to its adherents.

Here in Boystown, many guys are Liberals before they are gay, and we know Jews who are Liberal before they are Jewish.  Meaning, they will blindly support Leftist candidates, because they have a (D) after their names, regardless of if they do anything for the gay or Jewish communities respectively, or even regardless of it they are competent and good public servants.  All these people do is obsess over who is and isn’t “Liberal” — those not in the cult are the enemy, and must be destroyed at all costs.

Here’s an interesting letter we received yesterday, from a reader who works in the nonprofit world here in Chicago.  Tammy’s experience is similar to what all of us have encountered ourselves, because nonprofits and educational institutions are almost always liberal-controlled.  The culture in these workplaces can accurately be described as fascist in its enforcement of Liberalism.  You will not be hired if someone suspects you might be Republican, or even Independent.  They want only loyal, blind-party-voting Democrats on staff.  Voice an opinion that’s not out of the Liberal playbook for approved thought, and kiss any hope of promotion goodbye.  Forget about being treated as an equal or respected for your frame of reference or alternative point of view.  If this isn’t fascism, we don’t know what is.

Have you encountered other examples, in your own lives, of Liberalism as a cult, and its followers as fascists dictating thought at work places or other inappropriate situations?

OK – so it’s taken me a while to finally write up this letter, but I really felt like I needed to finally write it, and in light of an e-mail exchange I had with my friend Stacy last week, it finally spurred me on to write this.

She and I have fallen out over her communist tendencies….it pisses me off so much when she says, “you know, I think communism is wonderful…”

I finally lost it with her one day and was like, shut the f*** up, you don’t know what you’re talking about, you stupid b****.

Talk to anyone my age or older who grew up under this so-called “wonderful” totalitarian regime in Eastern and Central Europe and they can tell you just how wonderful it was.”  Stupid b****.

Not only am I offended for all of those countries that had to quietly suffer behind the Iron Curtain, but I am personally offended because you are completely dismissing what my own family went through, especially the ones who were picked up by black Volgas in the middle of the night by the State Police, never to be heard from again.

Another one of her favorites is, “you know, I just don’t see how you can’t believe in global warming and that we’re causing it.  I don’t think that I can be friends with someone who denies that global warming exists.”  Stupid b****, who clearly doesn’t read anything except Michael Moore’s blog.  And are you serious?  You’re telling me how hateful Republicans are in the same breath that you say that you can’t be friends with someone BECAUSE THEY HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION.  What’s next?  Separate drinking fountains and restaurants?

Again, I ask if you do publish this, or use parts of it, or whatever, just don’t use my real name…and I am actually asking for a very serious reason, basically, I don’t want to get fired or blacklisted at work since I work in such an overwhelmingly leftist environment.  And I do mean rabid, rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth, ready to pitbull you in the throat at the first sign of moderate discension.

I work for a children’s charity in Chicago.  We raise money to build playgrounds and improve schools.  Yet, these are some of the most evil people I have ever met in my lives when it comes to lashing out at people who do not think Obama is a new, risen god.

Yes, it has actually gotten to the point where I have to hide my political tendencies.  It’s like working in a cult, except a cult doesn’t try to pretend to be something it’s not.  What happened to spirited debate, and differing opinons, and not being persecuted for what you believe in?

Well, here’s what Obama would do, Mister Sister.  He’d put you and everyone like you on a ship to be sunken at the bottom of the sea.  Are you a total and complete moron?  Do you really believe that Obama is for the LGBT community?  Idiot.

The fact that I have a US Marine Corps coffee mug gets stares.  I am so f’ing proud of my Stepfather being a Former Marine, and he gave me that mug, and the last time I checked, we were still allowed to express ourselves in this country.  I choose to show my support for the military.  I’m even proud of the fact that my ex is a Lt. Colonel.

Anyway, what I am copying and pasting for you is an emotional response I had to an e-mail of hers which finished by her telling me how stupid and awful Sarah Palin is…she had also forwarded me an e-mail from her friend Anneli, who said some really vile things about Sarah Palin and Republicans in general…the context was that we all talking about how the entire country of Poland is mourning the loss of its President, First Lady and so many important heads of State and Industry, without any political divisions….anyway, Anneli went on to say “I was just thinking that if this happened w/our president, the tea partiers, leaderd by S. Palin, would be rejoicing w/joy, as their hatred has no boundaries.  How sad that we have gone so low.”

I am not sure what “leaderd” means, so maybe Anneli should go back to school, yo.  And the thing about being happy Air Force One crashed, well that’s projecting, because it’s what Anneli and her friends would have done if that was Bush’s plane.

So I had a really emotional response to this, because I was really, really tired of it:

“You really, REALLY need to rethink Sarah Palin’s “stupidity” as you call it.

First of all, all of those millions…she made RECENTLY.  She did not make them BEFORE becoming Governor – that she did ALL ON HER OWN.  She became Governor by being the most ruthless, street smart, female politician out there in recent history.  She might even be smarter than Hillary.  I don’t mean book smart, I mean street smart, Stacy.

She’s stupid, huh.  She is only the SECOND FEMALE VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE in the entire History of the United States.  ONLY THE SECOND.  And what do we do as women – WE SHIT ON HER for her accomplishments…why?  Because we don’t agree with her politics?  Stacy – there are practially NO WOMEN in politics in relation to the number of men, and here is a smart woman, who also has 5 kids, came from NOTHING, and now the entire world knows who she is…not very stupid, if I do say so myself.

So a woman finally makes it to the old boys club, breaks through the glass ceiling, and what do we do as WOMEN??? WE STAB HER IN THE BACK???  This is why women still make less than men for the same job done…because we do not help each other, we only try to hurt each other.  So what – we all have to agree politically in order to help each other…well, wouldn’t it be a f’ing boring world if we were all the same.

And furthermore, so she’s in all the magazines and they’re doing imitations of her on Saturday Night Life…well, they’re stupid at Saturday Night Live, because as you very well know, Stacy, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and she is still in the public eye and everyone is still talking about her.  ALL PUBLICITY IS GOOD PUBLICITY… it worked for Madonna, but I’ve never heard you call her stupid.  Why – because she’s an artist?  Well, Sarah Palin almost became Vice President – I’d say she’s just as smart, if not more so, than Madonna.

So tell me why you hate her so much?  Tell me what you think about her stance on health care, her stance on oil drilling, her stance on taxes and big government?  You probably don’t even know where she stands on those issues…?  Because for you, and for Anneli, it’s enough to call someone stupid but not explain why…well, I call that stupid. Do you know why she really hates her?  Because Sarah Palin has 5 children and looks like a million dollars and Anneli only WISHES she could look as good as her.

If you actually took the time to look at where she stands on the issues, Stacy, you would realize that 90% of it, YOU AGREE WITH.  But you and Anneli have probably never taken the time to read up on any of that, have you?  No, you call her stupid but have no explanation as to why.  That makes you look stupid.

Sarah Palin is a force to be reckoned with, Stacy, and she is counting on people like you and Anneli who underestimate just how ruthless and intelligent she actually is.  And meanwhile, she’s laughing all the way to the bank.”

This man saved lives at the Republican convention, and was a great leader of the Left after hurricane Katrina, and he’s since seen the light of day. GREAT journalistic piece!
