Never forget-- everything on TV revolves around some kind of "crisis"-- it's their only tool that reliably keeps viewer glued to the tube during commercial breaks ( which is where 90% of their $$$ comes from...)-- they almost always try to sell you fear & panic...

What really galls me is the pretense most reporters, journalists, and writers make of being "objective."

This is utter hogwash- everyone, right, left, or center, has biases, viewpoints, and a body of life experiences that color their perceptions- far better to acknowledge "where you come from" and try to compensate, than pretend to be "fair."
